dont worry, Cant Scratch – Wont Scratch lol..
but seriously, i would say 90 percent of my sets mixing is the average clean mix and blend, the other 10 percent is either simple cue and play, or maybe one or two “fancy” mixes. Bearing in mind i usually play like four to six hour sets sometimes !
Just want to keep pushing myself for more of a challenge without losing interest.
Ofcourse with any set, “the journey” is part of the challenge on its own, taking them from beginning to end. But i was speaking more on technical terms, for your own achievements.
i think OneSeven hit it on the head!
p.s i wont overdo it, thanks guys -_-

Ha wow, bob6397 thats dedication… thanks for all your help guys, I will be sure to link you to my final product when I am finished.
No doubt i will end up changing it around but to get any where near the original sound is crazy… been bugging me for a long time and it is something i can definitely use as a platform to work from,
    Thanks.

Nice advice, inspiration is part of the craft, might need to step back and take some time to absorb it.

im looking to make a sound similar to the one that comes in at 56 seconds,
Whilst I am getting more comfortable with producing my own sounds such as high pitched basslines, it is more the shape of it which I find hard, and layering the bottom end…

Not sure how clear I am being,
    but thanks anyways

Ah, Didn’t mean it as spam, I was just unsure which group was most suitable as the two I posted in cover the topic of production.
    My apologies,

Bro, if you dont want him to have your mix… he can have mine, they are all up for free download LOL…
Isnt that the point of Dj’ing to spread the love of music, if you wouldnt want somebody to play something you have created, then why create it ?

Thanks for the Feedback ! it helps a lot… The structure of songs is one thing i struggle with and have been trying to work on since i started trying to produce, as i said live mixing does help with this, like understanding chorus’s, verses and breaks etc but im still trying to figure it all out on the production side aha.

Before a gig, I always used to watch a guy called Ellaskins on youtube… gives some good advice !
Also getting there early helps a lot.

You will be surprised the amount of 80s tracks that have a nice constant beat throughout and are more than playable at different types of events, I have a disco v house mix on the Mixes forum if you want to check it out and see if you can gain anything from that.

some good tips here ! sometimes i pitch the track that is playing right down then drop the next tune in on its cue point. the trick is sometimes called a tape stop, but i usually use do the 4 beat delay technique.

like i mentioned in previous posts, i have been playing around with software and producing for many many years and i have only just gained confidence in creating full music productions. If you have brought a lot of equipment and have minimal knowledge then make sure you are constantly using it, check free tutorials on youtube etc…
