For VDJ, my best recommendations are:

Terminal Mix 4 if you want 4 channels and MC3000 if you want 2 channels. Both are excellent mapped in VDJ out-of-the-box and are on the list of native supported VDJ controllers

MC6000 are giving some users problems with VDJ, which is why I don’t recommend that one for everybody that wants 4 channels

MC2000 for 2 channels is cheaper and lighter, if that’s a priority, but not as well build, and have a little less features

I mainly use VDJ pro, because of the stacked waveforms, the easy map-to-anything, all the plugins available, the way simple sync works, and the way the music library is handled. And oh, Music Plan/Net search is also nice

I also own and use Serato DJ and Traktor Pro, and I would love to have the jogwheel integration from Serato and the effects and general sound quality from Traktor in VDJ

I may start using Serato DJ more.

I don’t think I will ever use Traktor on a regulary basis (library handling, no stacked waveforms and sync handling being the main reasons why)

    Thank you for your replies

I have both Traktor, Serato and Virtual DJ on my gig laptops, so I guess I’ll continue to only use Traktor for sets where I know I’m going to play modern music only (like pre-defined sets), and use one of the other two for “anything can happen gigs” like corporate parties, birthdays and weddings with lots of requests (I actually ask for people to do request, when playing these kind of gigs)

I was just wondering how Traktor-only DJ’s coped with mixing untight music, when I couldn’t figure out how to do it

    Best regards
