Thanks, been looking for a psy-trance mix! Will give it a listen!

No problem – Great songs too. On every mix, there was at least one song I had to look up after because it was so good.

Thanks, I’ll be sure to give these a listen! I like that they’re only half an hour each – easy to listen to!

    Re-up for any new news?
Also, what’s that company that makes those cut out decals you can put on your controllers?

There are some female DJ’s that are legitimately talented. Sister Bliss (formerly of Faithless) comes to mind. But there are alot that use looks over skill.

The new behringer looks promising, any word on when that will become available?
Remember, with the S2 you get traktor pro 2, so it may be worth it if you dont have software.

I do love a good trance mix, and yours is great. But I cant seem to find your name on the list.

Hey man, do you have a link to a mix or production you made? Maybe a soundcloud page?

Try reseting to factory specs, maybe you messed up some setting and that’ll fix it. (remember to make all appropiate backups)

in reply to: Free music sources? #14725

Well, my first suggestion is soundcloud, but only download from actual artist pages, otherwise the quality and legality arent guaranteed.
Second, http://rcrdlbl.com/ Has plenty of free, legal music from tons of artists, indie, electronic, and mainstream, roughly in that order. Only thing is they rarely have originals, but the remixes are generally good or better.
Then you’re down to a song here and a song there. People who give away free tracks include (to the best of my knowledge) BBC radio, CMJ, CBC, and last.fm.
Additionally, most places that sell music also give some free. (iTunes, amazon mp3, etc.)

BTW, anyone who hasn’t read Oddity’s bio needs to do it. Right now.

in reply to: Dubstep as the new norm #14088

I dont mind it, but the followers are annoying!
[rant]If all you know is Skrillex, you aren’t a fan of dubstep. The american teen girls wearing dubstep tshirts from Hot Topic are the worst of the bunch, avoid them at all costs.[/rant]
I really like the chill stuff like Mt. Eden, but heavy songs (like Flux Pavillion – Got 2 Know) are often good too.
And High Rankin just looks like a pretty cool dude 🙂

in reply to: David Guetta..Your Opinion! #13946

I kind of hate him on principle, but honestly i dont mind his music. Same with deadmau5… I’ve tried to be elitist, honest i have 🙂

Ya know what bugs me though?
Stereotypical american teen girl, probably wearing a dubstep tshirt from hot topic: I love dubstep! Skrillex is awesome.
me: who else do you like?
girl: [doesnt know of anyone else]

in reply to: dj = geek ?? #13878

I think most DJs are geeks at heart.

Paul Van Dyk: “When I started, DJs weren’t in the media, electronic music wasn’t in the sales charts, and a DJ was the freak in the corner who provided the music while other people had fun.”
