longmoverMembergive up trying to be ‘upfront’ there are far to many tunes being released and I cant wade through all releases and hold a full time job.
longmoverMemberi haven’t made the conversion yet but the thought of not having to burn endless cd’s is definitely something that could sway me. maybe?
longmoverMembercheers mush
longmoverMemberTimo, politely decline the request to dj. do you really want to be the face that plays the music?
longmoverMemberNo offense mate but parents know nothing about computers, dj tech etc, just lie to them about what it is and how much it cost. i think your major error was telling them in the first place.

The tracks that you play will sound very different so be prepared to think on your feet if things dont sound as you thought they would. Also mix with one ear on and one off (for the headphones) trying to master a mix with both on is very hard outside of the bedroom.
ALWAYS TAKE A TORCH!!!!
longmoverMemberyou create impact by using the right records at the right time, most of the tracks in this set are pretty banging, so there will be not recognition of any impact if there is impact all the way through. Its a tough one but the only way you learn to use the right records is to widen the genre you buy and listen to. by doing that you will pick up the way they work. Also the transitions are too short (this may have been on purpose??) to create impact, ride the mix like a surfer does a wave get the energy from both tracks.
you need to create peaks and troughs through out the mix and playing the records you have in this mix that isn’t going to happen. its one of things that comes with time. I bet in a year you wont be buying the same records as you are now. and you wont be mixing the same way.
PS. dont get dragged into effects (my pet hate), if your playing good records at the correct time you don’t need effects.
longmoverMemberyou need to put yourself under some pressure ie do what you have been doing but in front of some mates
longmoverMembereat lots of carbs

More famous than me? yes sure he is…….
Richer than me….yes he is!
My idol? No…..
Jealous? Hell no Im not!
Would I want to be him? No as weird and unbelievable as you might find this!
Above me? A starving kid in Africa is above me! Not Guetta!well said chap.
longmoverMemberwill probably go for PC than a MAC, with a MAC i feel that i will be paying for something i wont use to its full potential.
thanks for the response though.
longmoverMemberfirst off don’t try to imitate other peoples mixes, it can only lead to frustration and believe the people you try to imitate may not be worth imitating in the first place. you don’t need to try an squash the mixes so close. its best to give yourself plenty of time when learning to mix (less pressure on you). Let the main bit of the track finish then start to bring the other in track when its all died down.
its no sprint , take it easy.
