Just checked the spec again on the JBL and I think they maybe too big. My room is only small or should i say intimate, probably holds about 7-8 people lol.

I think i might be being a little optimistic looking at extra speakers.

    Thanks

Its for playing various types of house music in my man cave and the room is about 25 m2 . I already have some KRK monitors which are ok. Looking through google this has been discussed a lot and people comment on spatial panning, I sort of get that but in mono that would be no existent. I would just like to get it sounding as good as i can and not think after a few months that i should have gone for something better. I cam across the JBL EON 600, which look ok and I might try to have a listen.

    Thanks

Thanks for the reply Maxy and the tip. Can you elaborate on the single speaker though, i was always lead to believe two speakers was best to create a good sound?

DJ Vintage, I sense your passion and you make some valid points, alot of thought went into that 🙂 and I agree its a great forum to discuss things and ask for opinions, mutual respect is key as we all have common interest.

I do however think I have found a solution of sorts. I currently use Rekordbox and a Laptop, If I use Rekordbox DJ pack I can add samples and also 2 further decks (not that i can use all of them at once lol) and I can control all the tracks on the laptop from each XDJ1000 so thats simple enough.

Its very difficult choosing the right gear and its not something I took lightly, I spent ages looking at different gear, controllers and modular kit etc and came to this conclusion, the controllers are great and they just get better every time something new is launched but I just like the size and feel of these, my last controller just felt too small.

Anyway in the end with a bit of help from the forum I think its solved so thank you all for the input.
BTW sorry for reporting you DJ Vintage, frustration got the better of me lol (im not perfect, so the Mrs keeps telling me)

    Cheers

I think it was just the way it came across, it wasn’t a relevant remark to me and didnt sound very friendly.
I did not buy my kit based on marketing, i’ve been into dance music for over 30 years and made my choice based on research (i’ve already owned other kit) and what I thought works for me, I just wanted to ask the question about adding another dimension to my kit.

I dont know if you mean “light up man or lighten up man” lol 🙂

Dj Vintage, nice helpful answer. I wasnt asking you to fix anything I was just asking for some opinions.

    Thanks for the replies,

Terry, selling is not an option considering the battle i had with the Mrs to get them lol

Todd, software may be an option and i have found the add on pack for Rekordbox 4 might be the best.
