    My contribution.

Track: My Only Friend ft. Sam James
    Artist: Project 46

I’m really digging Project 46’s latest EP and this track really stands out for me. Enjoy!

    1) Open Mixed In Key.

    2) Click ‘Personalize’

    3) Click ‘Update Tags’

    4) Under ‘Should Mixed In Key update common tags?’, click ‘Store key result and energy.’

    5) Under ‘Where should Mixed In Key store these results?’, click ‘Overwrite comments’

    6) Click ‘Re-tag existing files’ at the bottom of the page.

    Hope that helps.

I’ve never had an issue with my HP laptop. I bought it about two years ago with the intent of using it to DJ and music production. If you maintain the laptop I don’t think you should have any problems.

    1) Would you like to see such a competition? If yes, how often (monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly, yearly, other)?

I would like to see a friendly competition. I feel that quarterly is the best option. I’m already attempting to release a mix every three months, and sometimes I make mini mixes already. Adding a monthly mix wouldn’t make it into my schedule.

    2) Would you participate if we had such competition? If yes, would you participate occassionally or every time?

Yes, as many times as I could.

    3) Do you think there should be a senior/junior DJ competition or just one big one?

One big one. I think people would be amazed what they can accomplish, even if they are a ‘junior’.

    4) What criteria do you think a mix should be judged on?

    5) What kind of reward do you think is suitable for the winner?

    Bragging rights.

Agree’d with Vintage on recording yourself. It’s amazing how I’ll listen back and think, that those two tracks really blended well together, so I’ll keep that in the back of my mind for when I’m playing out. It’s also showed me where I might have not transitioned well, or maybe let the energy down when I hadn’t meant to. Lots of good information to be had when listening to your own mixes.

Two reasons. The SX is half mine and double usb for double computers.

The reasoning behind that, is I originally embarked on this dj journey with a buddy of mine, going half on the gear. We get together and mix as often as possible, but I end up practicing more. So I’d like a controller of my own.

We also have very different ways of organizing our music, which makes practicing between our libraries a bit difficult. So double usb would help immensely.

Thanks for fixing the database! I was really worried, since I tried to log onto the scratching course, but I couldn’t load most of the videos. I was concerned something was wrong with my account.

I’m glad to say my issue has been resolved and I’m able to log onto the course properly and I am able to start learning how to scratch again!
