Yes that is an absolute classic D-JAM, nothing beats 90’s EDM for me.

Was thinking as well, it would be great to get more people involved in this, set an era/genre for the week and do an end of week mix around all the selections recommendations by everyone involved (if we were able to get these into a mix all in key!)

Not too sure what your thoughts on this would be or if it has been tried and tested before? May be a great way of getting all forum members/djs invovled in a great project!

    Safri Duo – Played-A-Live (The Bongo song) – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IksRDCMYnn8

These songs all take me back to my childhood when I first really got into dance music, I remember how big all of these songs were at the time and in my eyes these songs are so iconic when it comes to reflecting back on one of the greatest if not the greatest eras in Ibiza when it came to dance/trance music. This in my eyes was Ibiza at its best.

    Hi All,

    https://www.mixcloud.com/widget/iframe/?embed_type=widget_standard&embed_uuid=cb157703-

Really strange and great feeling putting out the 5th episode, only seems like the other day I was asking for advice on whether to do it or not, but I am really enjoying it

This mix includes a range of Trance genres once again including a few classics from the early turn of the 21st Century including the Ibiza classic of Push’s Universal and Ralphie B’s Massive. I have also featured a couple of tracks that were in last week’s episode including The Them by MaRLo.

As always, I appreciate all the feedback and anyone who has taken the time out to listen.

I also have plans to stream a few episodes live from the new Chew TV so if any of you have any Trance songs you would like to hear across any of my live shows I would love to hear them regardless of their genre and year!

I hope everyone has been having a good week and thank you for listening!

No problem at all! Thanks for the advice, its greatly appreciated it sounds like you have worked hard to progress in the world of Djing!

I currently have a thread on the same forum for a Trance based weekly podcast/show called Berks Trance (I actually think it is under your thread for this on the Mixes, Music and Shows section).

So far just the 4 episodes but I am really enjoying putting the mix together along with using music sources for new tracks! Feel free to check it out if you like!

Yes Soundcloud unfortunately can be a pain in the backside at times!

That’s great man, not that I have been there myself yet as I am still looking for my first residency/opportunity somewhere as a DJ!

Just keep doing what you’re doing, based on my nights out and about on the town in the clubs as a customer/guest, that mix would not of sounded out of place in the main room of a club!

Great song selections and most of the mix full of energy (well obviously being EDM!)

If I had any constructive feedback it would be to maybe if possible reshuffle a couple of the tracks at the start of the mix towards the end (not always possible if mixing in key).

Personally and again just personal preference, I would of probably dropped AVB’s Another You at the end of the mix as a pose to using it at the start and built up all the energy towards this track (as it is currently a very big tune) had it of been me but that is being very picky and people will probably disagree as well as agree with me!

But as you do more and more mixes, you will pick this up along the way my friend! Was this one of your first mix attempts? Really impressed with it regardless and enjoyed listening.

    Keep up the good work!

    Hi All,

Thought long and hard over the weekend and decided I will make a go of it and I came up with the idea of posting weekly Trance episodes. Thankfully my job allows me to listen to music at my desk during the day so I am always able to keep up with the latest music/shows to get ideas and most importantly songs from (e.g Spotify/Mixcloud etc)

I have named the show/weekly podcast as “Berks Trance” – For those interested, the thinking behind the name was the county location I am from (Berkshire) in the UK

I am by no means near the finished article when it comes to mixing Trance and picking the right songs to build up energy levels etc so any Trance DJs who are able to pass on any advice would be greatly appreciated!

If anyone would like to listen/see how I have set up things on my Mixcloud page, please follow the below link to episode 2!:

Thanks Vintage, great advice as always!

I always have been a big lover of Trance, and as someone from the UK, its sad to see it is not quite like the late 90’s anymore. Its interesting how things have really evolved more on to the EDM side of things from Trance.

I admittedly have dithered about creating a weekly Trance mix but your advice has certainly helped me create a clearer picture. AVB’s asot for me is one of my greatest sources for music!

I have had a think about it this morning and as well as weekly postings on Mixcloud, I was thinking I could use the new Chew TV as a platform for any live mixing.

Is Chew TV straight forward in terms of setting up with an S4 MK2?

Also, I need to brainstorm ideas for my weekly mix/shows/podcasts later but if anyone has any name suggestions, they would be greatly appreciated as nothing is coming to my head at the moment!

Thanks again guys greatly appreciate your advice,

    Hi All,

Thanks for the great advice really appreciate it and after reading both of the above comments I completely agree with everything you are both saying particularly Arnaldi about the “Am I ready” attitude.

I managed to dig out this GEM of an article last night which has also help me to build up a better idea of what I need to do to make things happen (great read btw Phil!)
