Shane RobbinsParticipant
Interesting question…
Should be fine. I use three external drives for 3 different Itunes libraries…
A possible issue.
Sync, specifically if automatic sync is on.
Any changes made it iTunes/RekordBox will cause the folders/files to be out of sync. (possible not meta data?)
Then Google Drive will start syncing.Possible Solution.
Make sure Google Drive sync is off while playing. (Quit the Google Drive desktop app while mixing too!)
Then after playing turn sync back on.You should not make any meta data changes in rekordBox either while playing..
Would love to see others thoughts..
Sounds like a fun little hack.Cheers
Shane RobbinsParticipantRecord pools are a great source for tools such as transition tracks.

Shane RobbinsParticipantBuilding your own is the way to go.
Its fun(well for some), you save money and it is custom to your gear.Ikea hacks or Pinterest are good places to start if you need ideas.

Shane RobbinsParticipantYou need a sound card.
Either built into the mixer or single/external device (Traktor Scratch Audio Focusrite etc).
NI Audio 2 is probably the cheapest solution (99$).Shane RobbinsParticipantTuning is subjective…
Perhaps their ignorance is bliss.
And certainly….
Not sad to be in a state of pure bliss.Shane RobbinsParticipantIf you plan to use Rekordbox..
The S2 Mk2 is not ideal.
Point is Traktor is always best with Traktor controllers IMO.
Cheers
Shane RobbinsParticipantFor using Traktor, the S2 Mk2 is ideal (especially if you want platters).
Good when it came out.
Its the same controller.
So good still…Shane RobbinsParticipantThese two are used by my mates.

Shane RobbinsParticipantWe all know real carpenters only use the Stanley 105 Hand Drill. Power drills are for posers.
Shane RobbinsParticipantIt’s like you never left.
Welcome homeShane RobbinsParticipantWhile geeking out on audio specs never forget comfort.
Hopefully some of the reviews mention this, but everyones head is different so its only a reference…
Know many a friend who bought fancy new cans only to find they experience ear fatigue after 30 minutes of mixing.
If your in pain, mixing isn’t much fun.Like Vintage said, testing out gear before you buy is the way to go.
Cheers
Shane RobbinsParticipantDo yourself and the event a favor and rent a PA.
Have them rent the gear and donate your DJ skills to support the cause.
