    Pretty damn impressive for your first month producing! You’re on your way if you keep it up at this level. Some of the sounds I’m not a fan of (trance-ish pads), but the bassline was quite nice, the dirty part in the middle is great, and the production values are spot-on.

    I recently went through the same decision process. In the end I chose the DDJ-T1 because it would most closely emulate CDJ’s, which was a big part of my decision considering that they’re still club standard and I aspire to playing the big clubs some day. I didn’t know the DDJ-SX could be used with Traktor, but that’s ok because I don’t like how they put the platter above all of those pads and I’m not sure those jog wheels emulate CDJ’s as closely as the DDJ-T1’s do.

    If you’re still considering the DDJ-T1, you can order from Pioneer directly and get yourself 40% off on a refurbished model. That’s what I did, saved me about $300 over retail.

    Wow, just went through the whole thread and I think my eyes are drooling. Some seriously killer setups in here! I’ll add my own once I get it all put together.

    Thanks for the quick feedback.

    After spending all day reading reviews, watching videos, etc. I decided to pull the trigger on the DDJ-T1. Pioneer was selling some refurbished models at more than 40% off ($530 or so), and at that price all of my reasoning just made even more sense. 🙂

    I own the M-Audio AV40’s myself. I’ve had them for quite a few years and have loved every minute of it. The sound quality is excellent across the spectrum and they’re well built. For the price you’d be hard pressed to find something better.
