DJing For Dummies has been completely updated to include digital DJing, and the Consulting Editor on the project was none other than our very own Phil Morse.

Stuck for something to say when people ask you “what would you like for Christmas”? Never fear, over the next few weeks we’re going to be suggesting a whole pile of suitable gifts. The first suggestion is close to home, from none other than our pal John Steventon, whose book DJing For Dummies has just been published in a brand-new 2014 edition.

The good thing about this book is that it starts at the beginning (you know, decks and a mixer), then progresses through all the skills and finishes bang up to date (the Consulting Editor this time was Digital DJ Tips founder, Phil Morse, so you know all the digital stuff is going to be 100% right). So if you want to learn about DJing from the ground up, and you’re one of those people who still, you know, reads books (or Kindle Editions, of course), here’s one for you.

Buy it: Amazon (US) / Amazon (UK)

What DJ books do you swear by? Is there a particular DJing book you’d like for Christmas? Have you got the new DJing for Dummies, and if so, did you enjoy it? Please share your thoughts below.
