The Gemini Slate that was in a recent video that Phil did works with Serato and seems rather compact.

I usually err on the side of keeping the volume lower, especially since it’s a wedding and not a rave. In the beginning I’ll leave the base down a bit to allow for conversation and put it back to 12 o’clock when the dancing is about to start. As the night goes on the older ones will leave and the volumes go up. I always have a lot of headroom though and I have been complimented on my volume levels.

I enjoy using my 2 behringer 15″s. The sound quality and output power are adequate for me. The weight especially is good for me. But that’s just my 2 cents.

I have noticed that they have improved the Key detection between VDJ 7 and VDJ 8 as now VDJ 8 corrects someof the keys from VDJ 7.

While I’m in no way an expert and do not have that particular controller, some suggestions i have would be going into the advanced settings and adjusting the jogsensitivity and setting scratch delay to 0. you can also adjust the crossfader curve to scratch. I have the different curve settings set to keyboard keys for convenience.

You could try doing some maintenance on your current installation. run CCleaner and check on your start-up programs and uninstall any toolbars.
