Have fun finding a case for that lol
dannyboyex@gmail.comParticipantTo add Vintage’ comment, the Koss DJ100 headphones have a mono/stereo switch that night help you. Some other headphones have that but that’s the only one I know for sure.

param_equal 50% ? effect 'qb_filter' active off : effect 'qb_filter' active on & effect 'qb_filter' slider 2 75% & effect 'qb_filter' slider 3
hope that helpsdannyboyex@gmail.comParticipantI’m going to be making an effort to go depending on what time it is going to be.
dannyboyex@gmail.comParticipantExcellent suggestion Terry. Another thing to consider is how you organize your music, if you use itunes, and if you are interested in harmonic mixing.
dannyboyex@gmail.comParticipantI did a gig with another guy a few weeks ago and you would cue as normal. The only thing you would have to worry about is the transition between you two but there is where manual beat-matching would come in. Just plug your headphones into your controller as you would if you were playing solo.
March 26, 2014 at 9:04 pm in reply to: What's your biggest tip for DJs using PA systems for the first time? #2018606dannyboyex@gmail.comParticipantLol sure. I think I could handle that.
dannyboyex@gmail.comParticipantAnother idea is that if you can have both controllers hooked up to whatever your sound output is, then you could just switch which sound card is selected in VDJ. There would be a a small fraction of a second gap though.
dannyboyex@gmail.comParticipantStep 1: Embrace the nerves They’re going to happen no matter what you do and channel it into not forgetting things.
Step 2: Do not forget the pieces you need for your setup. Set everything up at home first and have everything running then make a checklist of every item. Bring extra cables for everything if you can.
Step 3: have a Plan B. Have some tracks and music you could play on your phone or a CD just in case something goes wrong.
Step 4: Make sure you eat before
Step 5: Use the bathroom (very important)
Step 6: Get there EARLY. This gives you time to set up and figure out what you did wrong (you WILL forget something)Focus more on the song selection than the mixing. A bad transition won’t kill you but a bad track can. More than likely you’ll make a bad song choice. Do NOT let it get you down. Stay focused and smile.
DJ Itro should be fine. Don’t change up what’s been working for you so far.
It’s good to have some slower chill tracks for early on to help people warm up since not everyone will show up at the same time. 4 hours=240 minutes Song~3 minutes (may be less depending on how you are mixing) 240/3=80. As Terry said you will need more than that. “Battle plans rarely survive the first encounter with the enemy” so be prepared.
I’m sure you will do great!

March 25, 2014 at 9:11 pm in reply to: What's your biggest tip for DJs using PA systems for the first time? #2017922dannyboyex@gmail.comParticipantI’d assume you and Terry would do the stickying but maybe members could recommend certain posts to be stickied. I rating system could work but may be more complicated. Another idea would be to have a semi regular post on the main site highlighting posts from the past week (or whatever interval is decided) which could drive more traffic to the forums.
dannyboyex@gmail.comParticipantDo you mean that both controllers are controlling the same program? Thats possible with Virtual DJ. For sound routing you would need VDJ Pro and you coud set both souncards as the master output in the advanced config. I’m slightly confused to what you exactly want to do.

dannyboyex@gmail.comParticipant@siryellis im right with you on that!
@alchemy i can suggest an akai lpd8. they go pretty cheap nowadays. I used to have one but i gave it as a gift to my producer friend.
dannyboyex@gmail.comParticipantA mixtrack pro 2 isn’t a bad controller. I started out with the original mixtrack pro so it will last you for a while
