Thanks everyone! First home game tonight! Getting to the rink early to see how exactly I’m going to plug in… lol (hopefully it’s that easy)

Personally in a gig situation I’d drop some lighter stuff like a Skrillex single that just about everyone has to know by now and see how they react. Take a break and then do a serious scare the floor-drop out of a regular song into something heavy if all seemed to go alright. But even then I say go easy on em. I like dubstep, but I don’t like an hour long set of just dubstep. Especially in a club. It’s a bit… overwhelming.

I’ll agree with this 100% I love dubstep, but I don’t think the general Public can handle hours of it. I personaly have had luck with dub remixes of top 40 tracks. People can get into that.

I am saving up for a new controller to buy end of the year to replace my VCI 100, so the S4 caught my eye, especially that it is basically a plug and play controller. I was also excited about Traktor Pro2 especially the sample decks and other bells and whistles, seeing that I want to start playing around more with samples and looping and effect, and take my djing up to the next level

Enter the Denon, well it is Denon what can you say durable never say die equipment, although I was worried that I wont be able to use Traktor pro 2 with it. And now some guys on here say you can and that they are doing it?

So my question is is it easy to use the denon with Traktor Pro2? Is there alot of mapping involved? Or should I just get the S4?

I use my Denon Mapped to traktor Pro 2 and Virtual Dj Pro 7 with zero problems. It works seamlessly with both programs. and the fact that it doubles as a mixer makes it more than worth it in my opinion.

my opinion…. I went through this same thing with my Hercules RMX…. It was a great controller, but I always wanted something better. Would spend hours researching different controllers. Until finally I came to the realization that I need to really no what i’m doing to dj properly and the the Hercules RMX was the perfect tool to get the basics down. Once I landed my first gig and got that first paycheck, is when I went out and Upgraded. It was a great decision. So i’d say wait, and have fun with your MTP

Yes, it was Definitely a day to remember. Handed out 100 or so business cards, met some cool people and made some friends. Now I’m booked Thursday, Friday, and Sunday this weekend! Great times a head. I’m so thankful for these oppurtuinites and I’ve learned it mostly from this website. Thank You to Phil and everyone that contributes!
