nice! someone who understand the struggle. I wanted to get a gig at eos lounge cause it seems like the most legit club 2 rooms. IDK. Honestly i have not put in my full effort, im just starting out myself and still don’t know how to beatmatch, and I just finally got CDJs. Don’t know tru. I play deep house/ hip hop remixes/ old school stuff / disco / soul. I don’t think SB is really feelin that style too much. All well, I am moving soon any how. bigger cities > more clubs, more underground scene you know.

yo just found your post im also in SB. its difficult to get gigs here because there are so few clubs. and they all play top 40 pretty much I think. do you have any strategies. lol you probably would not say I guess! I just sold my VCI 300 for a twitch and its mad fun to remix music in serato with the slicer.

ur lnk redirects me autoaticly to some loginpage, and when i manually search “globalundergroundfan” or “global underground fan” i cant find you or the mix either… 🙁thanks for trying… I killed off the podomatic account anyway, because It was too complicated for me. I had no idea mix cloud was limited in some countries. That must be really annoying.

nor can i to SC or any other popular site….
frkn suxs…-..-Hey, Im going to be adding it to other sites too in the future , I have it here as well
Global Underground FanMemberGrid View is a must. It makes cover flow look disgusting. Grid view with the large album covers is the closet you can get to really feeling like you have the music physically like on cds or vinyl. Also recommend sorting by genre/artist name.
Global Underground FanMemberI think its great for people without Serato controller who find tractor too advanced. I still have it as a backup of software, and when I am too lazy to connect my controller.

I was still deciding and was about say “meh, I will just wait till 380/400 go down in price or maybe get an ns6.” but then I saw the vci for $500-100 instant rebate + free fx unit (which I will be selling) from guitar center. so In total like $300 + my custom dj tech tools faders and tax. I think I will like it much better. Now theres just the big task of selling the DX I hope I can get decent money for it…
Global Underground FanMemberNICE^ ….these are some amazing setups, nice to see such a wide a variety of setups. yeah I will post when I switch out my controller, but my dream is scratch live setup and a small midi controller. lots of you guys already have that:)

I know its frkn expensive, BUT its got motorized 7″ Jogwheels, full ITCH integration… so save some money stick around with the Xone: DX for some time(if prices are rising it might be good to w8 anyways so that you get the most out of it) sell it as soon as u can afford the NS7FX… thats what I’d do if i liked Scratching
Honestly Its not only about scratching. Its mostly about simplicity and the layout of the controller, I feel the DX is supper cramped together with a big emphasis on effects and 4 deck control. I don’t really want that stuff, when I could have big jogs to cue up tracks more easily, and have all that unused stuff gone. I also feel like bigger jogs would lead to a better presentation (make me look more like a proper dj, backspins, with the flexibility do hip hop if i wanted). The NS7 is awesome, but I am actually more into hip house and hip pop, that straight up rap/hip hop most of the time. Scratching is a lot of fun but the NS7 is just way to big/expensive. I am considering scratch live and a mixtrack for gigs, but again, serato is my software of chose all the time. Also I want to save some money in the process.

I was coming from a vestax vci 100 so it was big step up. I loved it at first, but now as I am getting more into hip hop, classics, retro stuff, chicago house. I find that the jog wheels just don’t feel up for the challenge, like this is controller was more suited for trance/progressive djs. Also I want to learn to how to beatmatch and the pitch controls are on a tiny dial, not a fader, which is awkward. Also I never use the effects or 4 internal decks, an external direct drive turntable would be cool as a 3rd deck, but the thought of using 4 internal decks is just too much for me. So I am looking a the vestax vci 300 mk2. I can sell my DX and make a little money and pick up the vestax for cheaper. It has everything I want. Itch, portability, great jogs, analog input, how can I loose? Is there anything better for $500-600? I need itch though. I really liked the new 380, but I $1000 is a lot and it has a lot of stuff I don’t think I will use.
Oh I think sera to intro would be acceptable. So I guess the N4 is an option, but its larger and plastic 🙁
Global Underground FanMemberjust got the xone dx off ebay for around $660 USD. Kind of high price, but I wanted the mini footprint (i know its heavy though), and effects section, The VCI 300 lacked that. I like the 4 decks, and serato looks amazing… My only concern is the small jogs and that I can not fowardspin a track for effect.
