Well for this…it was just an idea…and for this little thing I did, in a home..they did just enough to get people into a groove. :). But any ideas for speakers then?

And oh….I forgot to mention…The speakers must be in the same bag too;). EX: Magma backpack, or a really good Laptop Bag. This system will be a mini version of what my big stuff is. Im just looking for ideas and what peoples thoughts are. Thanks all.

Nice…It sounds like a good Practice Session :). The Gigs I was doing was just social things that turn into little “mini parties”. You have some cool songs and nice mixes and you got people tapping toes and then before you know it dancing….and with a small simple battery powered speaker set mind you. 😉

That is an awesome unit too :D…But i didnt make this clear…I have a iPad Mini :D. So that unit i cant use. But i Dont mind not having Jog Wheels…I just need something to mix well and it can also be modular. I love the Native Instruments Z1. I was thinking of something along those lines. But Chuck I love your Comments, keep them coming..thanks 🙂

I’ve often had the same questions too. What helped me was just being able to try new things with my music. I also looked at Dj’s I liked that make mixes on You Tube, and see how i can do the same. Just seeing what goes together and what sounds nice helps. One thing too another DJ said was just Mix like your in front of a crowd and see how long you can mix….this does work and helps you with ideas with your current library of music. Its helped me for 23 years now and I’m still mixing. If you have an Ipad with Traktor too, thats an awesome way to help you make mixes on the go 🙂 I hope i didn’t ramble too much :D.

Yes Same Here, I love Denon Controllers. I do have a MC-6000 and the MC 3000 is awesome too…Im still thinking of getting one as for a simple backpak setup with some 5″ to 8″ Monitors and have a Mini Party Set up for 25 people :). But if you used this as your main set up…it is club worthy and you can really have a powerful set and setup with this controller.

My Very first Set-up was 2 Gemini XL500 Direct Drive Turntables, with a Gemini 3 channel Mixer. But getting into the Digitial World I when to (2) Gemini CDJ 10. But it all worked and i eventually got more better equipment. For some time after that I got American Audio MCD-810 and a Denon DNHD-2500 With Denon x-500 mixer…Love that system and still have it. I use it now as a back up system. I think every DJ has had a Gemini Mixer some point in there dj career ;)…And Chuck Keep Posting and Rockin the parties…;)

I have a My backups as well. I use a rack type system……So I have a Denon MC6000 {Plan A}, with Traktor Pro 2 and Denon HDDN2500 {plan B} With a Powered USB Hub on it, for flash drives and a Ipad with Traktor DJ on it{ Plan C} . Then there is the Old Ipod Classic 😉 {Plan D}. And for Sound I do have Battery Powered Speakers, Nothing Big but it can be used for Annoucments and back groud music ;). But there are many more things that can happen, im sure of it. This system has worked for me very well.

I know I love Virtual DJ. So I looked for controllers that supported the software.

I also know I will be mainly working in a small bar/club venue and I want it portable. I also wanted the option of a balanced master out, a line input for an ipod in the event I need it and just a few bells and whistles on the controller such as hot cue points and dedicated filters…nothing fancy…just enough for me to get my “high” on playing w/ the hot cue buttons and filter knobs…LOL 😉

So I went with Denon MC 3000. Small compact, durable…I am so looking forward to getting it next week!! YAY!! Ya, just being a total geek…HA! 😀

I have a Denon MC 6000 love the 3000. It so good, as you knw 😛
