Hey, I love that Idea. I wanted to do something similar with my studio set-up. I was going to get 3 of those tables and make it into a “L” shape on one side of the room and have the shelf on one of the tables for computer and monitors. 🙂

That’s how I like to play but some people have adhd when it comes to mixing and can’t be that patient. Top 40 djs are the biggest offender’s of this as are the younger generation of the more popular dance styles. Those of us that grew up on 12s are more likely to enjoy and mix the way Cajmere does I think.

You are so right with that one. All comments made so far are so true. What i Do is watch what people are doing, and i tend to let them groove to the track and i do my mixing in the tail end of the songs so by that time they feel the song ending, next track is coming in. 🙂 But i love Cajmere and Old school is where its at :p but thats me:).

I Was looking at that too. The Minirig Speaker (2 one booth and one main) thats hooked to a controller. I was looking at a Denon MC-3000 and Bose soundlink 2 speakers with a Apple 13.3 Laptop :). That would be cool but i think it be heavy for a back pack.

I use Behringer now in my equipment. I have a xenyx 502 and a 802 mixer, EP2500 amp for my subs, also have (2) Behringer Eurolive B212B and (2) b1220 speeakers for a back up PA that has a Behringer PMP515 mixer amp and for kicks a Behringer UCA222 USB sound card for podcasting and EQ, Crossovers too from them. ALL these products I own, and I’ve had NO Problems. There are time we can get bad eqiupment and it happens even with the best. But for meduim use, they are ok. 🙂 They just need love. If your Gig-ing alot , Like Terry said PAY MORE, to have the good stuff that will not crapout after heavy use. I Do have Mackie SM450 pair and they are work horses. If you do more shows in Live bands and DJing you get more better equipment that will last. Its all up to you and how you use it;)

I Have a Numark Mixtrack Pro for home and my wife and I to practice on;) and for my gigs I have a Denon MC6000 which is good and a Denon HDDN2500 for a back up Midi controller and Flash Drive player. All of them works so well for me and my needs. The Denon equpiment is good quaility stuff, it will last for you even if your gig-ing alot. Denon MC3000 and MC6000 do video to with Virtual DJ 😉 and you have stand alone mixer abilty with MC6000…I love Denon!! :D….I will be getting a Denon MC3000 too for a video mixing set up soon :). Ya’ll keep rockin!!

Terry is right about getting the S4 for scartching. I Do have a Denon MC-6000 and also mix Soulful house and R&B…Lounge, Acid Jazz, Some Hip Hop, Space pop..etc.. But i have found that Denon is a versitile Midi Controller and Full stand alone mixer with Booth outputs and Filter Knobs …tec.. ;). I’ve got mine brand new for $675 . The jogwheels are ok for Scatching but if you really are in that, S4 like terry said will help in that reguard.
