One of the more exciting new controllers here at NAMM 2012 so far has been the Numark MPC DJ. Combining high quality digital turntables (think NS7FX) with basically an MPC production controller, this large, heavy, metal-built unit is potentially a significant step forward for digital DJing.
How can we say that? Well, apart from its obvious combining of production and DJing in one unit, it is going to come with a mysterious piece of software, “MPC DJ software”. Numark is saying no more about this program, but any new program developed for a piece of hardware as different as this one is bound to offer and suggest new ways of DJing.
Have your say
The MPC DJ controller is very much a work in progress for Numark, and indeed it is asking for input and feedback from Digital DJ Tips readers as to how the product development should go from here, so if there are features you’d like to see in this controller, now’s the time to say. As Chris Roman of Numark states in the video below, the company will be monitoring all comments here on Digital DJ Tips to help it to ensure the features users most want are included in this controller, so take a close look at the video, then go ahead and leave your feedback either on the video page or below.
