Mono Split is a control that nowadays tends to be found only on pro club mixers, although it used to be common on all DJ gear. And for good reason – in situations when there isn’t proper DJ monitoring and the DJ is a long way from the nearest speaker (or indeed for situations where there are no speakers at all – for instance, DJing at night in a house where everyone else is asleepp…), Mono Split can be your saviour.
(Note Mono Split is not to be confused with mono splitter cables, which are an entirely different thing.)
So if you want to learn how to use this control in case you ever need it, or it’s on your gear and you’ve always wondered what to do with it (yes, some DJ controllers do feature this control, just not that many), then today’s video reveals all.
