Ever had that little lightning bolt next to your files in Serato’s library? It indicates that the file is corrupt in some way – and even if it still plays, it is a good idea to fix it to keep your software running as smoothly as possible.

While you could manually re-encode such files, 3vise is a brand new macOS desktop app, designed for DJs who have files in their libraries that are marked as “corrupt” in Serato but that still contain playable audio.

Employing a drag and drop interface, 3vise allows users to scan and repair MP3s with one-click, as well as optionally “scrub” the ID3 metadata that may be causing issues with the file.

You get the option of repairing the source file in place, meaning you will not have to relocate the files or make any changes to your DJ library when using the tool.

3vise is available as a free download for macOS 10.12 and higher, from makers Cflo.inc. Click here to get the app.
