Serato 4.0 now has a proper ratings column with fully customisable emojis – and most DJs are either ignoring it or using it the wrong way. Using this emoji “hack” means you can tag your tracks by energy level, vocal content, hidden gems, explicit lyrics, instrument type, and more. Combine it with Serato’s smart crates, and it becomes a highly useful way to find the right track at the right moment – whatever the dancefloor needs.
