“We’ve completely rebuilt djay Pro from the ground up to shine on Windows.” said Karim Morsy, CEO of Algoriddim. “It combines cutting-edge features with our award-winning design that is loved by millions of DJs around the world. This is a massive update, and we can’t wait to get it into the hands of our users.”

What’s New In djay Pro For Windows

The user interface has been thoroughly revamped in this latest version of djay Pro for Windows.

djay Pro’s Windows app had fallen well behind the iOS, macOS and iPadOS apps in recent years, with the latter receiving update after update while the Windows version seemingly languished. So Windows users will be happy to see that this new version is indeed a complete re-imagining of the app on their platform. It includes:

  • Plug-and-play compatibility – Integration with over 100 DJ controllers and audio interfaces, with ultra-low latency performance through dedicated ASIO support
  • Real-time stems – For the first time on Windows, Algoriddim’s Neural Mix technology allows DJs to isolate and manipulate individual elements of any song in real time, offering wide creative possibilities
  • DVS (Digital Vinyl System) – Get the precision and control of turntables, by connecting them and djay Pro for Windows to a compatible mixer and using timecode vinyl to mix and scratch digital music
  • Addition of streaming services – Beatport and Beatsource Streaming are included, alongside integration with Tidal and SoundCloud, alongside of course music stored locally on your device. (Obviously these services need a subscription to platforms you wish to use)
  • Revamped music library and user interface – The music library and user interface have been overhauled, offering DJs a wider range of performance modes and flexible layouts to suit their play style and preferences
  • Touchscreen-enhanced capability – Whether browsing tracks, preparing playlists, or performing without hardware connected, djay Pro functions as a standalone software. Hybrid devices like the Microsoft Surface Pro provide multiple options to control djay Pro

Algoriddim says its mission is to make the art of DJing accessible to everyone, and tells us that it sees this Windows remake as key to that.

• You can use a limited version for free, or pay $50/year for full access. A free trial is also available. Find out more on Algoriddim’s website. Download from the Microsoft Store.
