Reloop has just announced its RMX-30BT three-channel Bluetooth DJ mixer.

A basic analogue mixer designed primarily for use at home or at small parties, it nonetheless has a large number of inputs with four line inputs, two phono inputs, a microphone input, and a Bluetooth input.

There’s a balanced master out as well as unbalanced, and also a record out which could work as a booth output as long as your booth speakers have their own volume control.

The mic has two-band EQ, the crossfader is replaceable, and each channel has three band EQ plus gain – although there’s no individual channel metering, just a five-bar master meter. You’re going to have to remember your headphones adapter too, as there’s only the one larger size of headphone socket.

It’s a classic metal construction, and power is via a proper mains lead rather than a cheap external power brick, which we approve of. Not sure what the Bluetooth brand police will think of the rather cheesy molar they decided to put on the Bluetooth button though!

Our Thoughts

There’s obviously still a market for this kind of product, an almost timeless basic mixer of the type that those of us who were brought up on turntables have played on often throughout the decades.

Pair this with a couple of turntables and you can liberate an old vinyl collection without needing to spend more, while the extra inputs, including Bluetooth, mean that if you have this set up at home, there’s still a scope to plug in other audio sources such as CDJs, computers and so on.

Additionally, paired with Reloop’s Flux DVS audio interface, this mixer would also work with DJ software such as Serato, giving you a good value home all-rounder.

It’s available now at £189 / €299 / $249, and you can get more info from Reloop’s website.
