Reloop has today announced the Reloop Mixon 8 Pro, a controller for Serato DJ Pro and for Algoriddim’s djay Pro AI, for both Mac/Windows and iOS devices. It boasts myriad connection options, and a built-in slot for easy iPad mounting directly to the controller.

It features four channels, jogwheels displays, industry-first four instant FX toggle switches, dual audio interface for two DJs, a standalone mixer (two phono and four line in), and dual mics routable through the mixer.

It can be used with Serato DJ Pro and djay Pro AI, and with iPads and Mac/Windows.

It is also the first controller to support USB-C devices for the new generation of Apple devices and MacBooks, including power delivery – something we have also seen this week on the new Pioneer DJ DJM-S5 mixer.

We haven’t seen the unit yet, but the eight RGB performance pads look high quality, and include control for myriad Serato and djay Pro AI pad functions, including Neural Mix (djay Pro AI’s real-time stems feature).

It can also be used as a standalone mixer including with DVS, and it has both phono and line inputs, and balanced outputs, plus two mic channels, routable through the mixer.

The unit is plug and play with Serato DJ Pro, and can be used with turntables as a DVS interface, too. (The latter requires a paid upgrade for Serato DJ Pro, but it will work out of the box with djay Pro AI.)

Reloop is pushing the build quality, calling it a “premiere line, first-class build quality with robust metal panels”.
