I buy most of my music from Beatport. iTunes apparently doesn’t allow Malaysian citizens to buy music. The CDs in my local shops don’t sell music I want.

I find reading music blogs are the best way to discover new music. Most bloggers would have their own personal input towards a song and would generally describe a song well. Downside is that these bloggers often stick to a certain genre

No, because when I was ten I kept begging my mum for a gaming system and she never bought it. I come to loathe games now. Haha

It goes back to the articles I wrote on how to succeed, when you go beyond gigs and promote yourself online. I didn’t want to bog down my regular blog with short posts and links to other stuff, so I use tumblr to post short 2-min clips of tunes I am into as well as links to new articles I write and articles/sites I come across that I think are cool. Every Friday I only post YouTube clips of old school music (Old School Friday).

The benefit is it’s another line in the water. Some people who surf tumblr or just the web in general can come across this, possibly get into it, and there on the right side are links to other social media outlets of mine as well as my website.

Since I’m not into producing music, content creation is a stronger point for me.

Haha! I couldn’t connect the dots between your tumblr page and yourself! Sorry for the confusion. Haha. Pretty nice. I’m surfing around for some nice tracks.

Its quite similar to “The Girl From Copacabana” by Mike Mikhjian & John Caza, which is definitely another one to check out.

Yeah.. Pretty good song! Anyone knows of some good trance producers?

Yeah, I think they shouldn’t change every 32 beats as well but it makes work for DJs easier. Haha

I have no musical education, only the litlle bits i gather myself…. that sucks and concerns me a lot…

Lol, I read somewhere it’s not actually needed. As long as you know what phrases, bar and the likes are it’s okay. Some BPM counting as well. I never knew much about this but EDM always change every 32 beats O.O!! Only recently did I learned about that. Thanks to the forum, I also learned more about build up and break downs O.O which never bothered me before. If you’re wondering what key is the music being played and al,l often, the software does it for you. Although it may not be accurate sometimes but that’s all if you want to mix in key.

Most of my class are girls majority. At first it was good, fun and all. It gets stale man. A bunch of guys in a class makes it noisy. With girls all you get is this weird.. eerie silence. There no wingman around to save you as well 🙁

I don’t think you can. I’ve never tried but you can still access playlists in virtualdj. I access itunes playlist through virtualdj. Theoretically, if I connected my phone, it should detect my playlists on my phone, no?

But if you’re thinking the way the Mixdeck does, I’m not sure if it’d work.

I love trance and progressive house man. They’re crazy! It makes me dance and jump around more than electro actually. I been listening to Signalrunners work and “corrupted” is a favorite. I also love Above and Beyond’s works. They combine beautiful melodies with hard vocals and it’s crazy man! Ferry Tayle, Nitrous Oxide, those are the kinds of songs I like

Add 100 new tracks to your wishlist, then whittle it down to 10. Buy things you just love and/or would play for months…not play a few times and move on.

Well, the one thing that make vinyl very appealing to me is that you can actually touch, hold and see your records. it makes records very unique especially if you own a hard to find song. But that’s just me though. I don’t see a way to set cue points and whatnot on vinyl though.
