Very true, very true. I sorta tried to stick with controllers with a similar layout to the F1, mainly for convience

There are several modular controllers out there that have RGB pads that you could use. The Midi Fighter Spectra and 3D were, for a while, the only controllers that could control the remix decks (and even not fully until the update) Most controllerists rave about the feel and durability of the arcade buttons used. Another controller to look into would be the Behringer CMD-LC1. It has RGB, an 8×4 grid (meaning you could have two rows of one remix deck, or even both pairs of Remix decks on 1 controller). It has 8 rotary encoders (as oppossed to the 4 knobs and 4 faders of the F1, so you could probably have the same mappings, and even has more “extra” buttons than the F1. You also could look into the Xone K2 as well. As for button feel, thats sort of a subjective thing. The maschine line is known for great pads, so if you like those, use them as a guideline.

yeah, i picked Get Lucky, plus a Suit & Tie remix that uses the same beat, and, not to discredit the value of your statement (I really appreciate your help), but the crowd seems pretty set in style. They’ve had me come in the last few weeks and watch some of the other DJs spin, and one of them, just to show me, tried switching to something more…youthful, shall we say….and almost started a angry riot

Uh, I don’t know how that will go over…..The crowd is mainly older people, who like soul and R&B, some deep house maybe.

    Two thoughts

    1) Replace “play” with “trainwreck”
    2) Replace “pretty” with…..well, not really sure, but I’ll leave that up to you……

Like Terry said, it probably has something to do with your beatgridding, especially if you have snap or quantize mode activated. Do you notice a pause or a stutter when you drop cue points as well? If so, a combination of bad grids and either of those are most likely the cause.

Thanks. I’m leaning towards the VCI, mainly because of its reputation, plus Phil’s review of the VMS2 said there might be some issues with the faders. Also, I would probably do the DJTT 1.4 upgrade to it as well

Honestly, Maglia looks better. Its kinda exotic, and easier to pronounce, or at least less confusing. Kacrin, i can see at least three different ways to pronounce it, which might get confusing for your fans (of which hopefully you will have many). Also, no offense, but it sounds kind of like a pain med or something

They didn’t ask me any of that. I just gave them my DJ Name, social media connects (Twitter, FB) and my email address

Try Total Wipes. You don’t have a choice of what they send you, but each email has usually at least 3 tracks, sometimes like 7 or 8, and I have been getting like 4-8 emails a week. You just have to fill out a dead simple review, and you can download whatever tracks you like from the selection in WAV or MP3 format, all for free. I’ve found some good gems, and they have a wide variety of electronic music they select from.

Mine is a MacBook Pro 13″ mid-2009. Favourite thing? Build quality. Least favourite? Screen size (I’d like 15″ for my poor bespectacled eyes).

    You?

15″ 2009 Macbook Pro. 2.6 Ghz, 4 Gb RAM, 320 GB storage (Soon to be upgraded to 8 GB RAM and SSD storage)
Best part: Paid $400 for it, is everything I hoped for and more
Worst part: Other than not having SSD, pretty much perfect

Well, my dad was a woodworker before before he died, so I have a 2 story woodworking shop in my backyard, with just about every tool you could think of, I even think we have one of those things you plog a computer into, upload a design, and it laser cuts it into whatever material you put into it or something like that
