What is this EDM Club do actually ? I mean do you guys have like a meeting after-school ? and if yall did what did you do ? have some discussion among the club members? what exactly is yall activity ?

My recommendation is since its in school environment, education environment, why dont yall propose for having a DJ Battle / Competition among the students? It should be easy to organize, you can do it in school auditorium or hall or in indoor basketball court, and you can invite DJ Vintage as one of the juror , you can propose to your school to back-you up, sponsor, support you for the prizes and such.

We just had our DJ Competition last year it was load of fun

During a live show shouting your name? eh kind of awkward for me UNLESS you have MC stand by you, its their job to hyped up the night, so might ass well get him/her to drop your name, “Puttt yourr f hands up for Dejaaaay <insertname>”

Is there like a man in charge present? the one that make arrangement with you, contract and such ?
Since its a company party function, someone who’s in charge of the event should be present
Call him/her up and explain the situation at hand

    Possible,
But the thing is you need someone that experiences enough dealing with all that, like someone in Event Organizer, who had the experiences under his/her belt, have netowrking with those big local companies

This year our DJ Communities endorsed by a new local tobacco companies, of course there is certain “demand” you have to follow, for example you have to buy certain “amount” of their products
In return, every week, they will host a big events at the local big clubs, featuring us as the local talents, plus they paid us too with standard DJ fees

Its a really good opportunity for our community, we got more exposures and respects from other DJ’s and clubs as well

    1. DO you think the place will exploded if you play the “folk music”, if the answer, yes…
go ahead and swallow your pride and play them
Its only a beginning of your career and you already picky to play which music you want to play,
if you really hate hate it, just like Chuck recommended stay in your bedroom, or maybe create your own event which you can play what you like

    2. “Also, for a club manager, if you are not ‘the big name’, does it look (lets say) hilarious giving him a business card of yours?”
As you stated its a “business card”, so it doesnt really have nothing to do with big name or whataver, its a business thing, its just a professional way

    – Off the record question,
Welp its kind of a common sense anyway, if you dont know anybody from that club how you going to get a gig there anyway ?
Someone, anybody has to make that First Contact

I enjoyed a little bit pieces of story they did in documentary “Under the Electric Sky” (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2966934/), the story more believable, in one story they told a young girl that felt out of place cause she different and dig EDM scene & music, while others around her only know rap, r&b, country music, so she making a journey to Daisy Carnival to fulfilled her joy & passion, now that something I can related too

I hadn’t seen this We Are Your Friends, but its prolly nothing compared to the this documentary

The definition of RnB itself, it can be varied and confusing at the same time lol
My learning experience is to go to that one particular club that claimed to be RnB Club, but guessed what? they dont play pure RnB either lol

I guess their (the club) definition of RnB is a mixture of pop’s (top 40 stuff), lil mash up, lil EDM (yea i know like what?)

The one is trending right now is a remix of Trap & Twerk stuff of some pop song, sometimes a pure twerk/trap original version, yes yes I know what you saying… but trap/twerk is not rnb ! But thats whats happening down here lol
AND the crowds did not complaint at all, i guess in the end thats all that it matters
