Ill agree with DJ GRE on this one. its what I did. I got the sound card and Mixtrack separate just in case I would like to upgrade to something better and wouldn’t want to get rid of my soundcard
DjSpekzMemberFirst time I was told to put music at a party I was excited but nervous at the same time. I was using just my laptop, no soundcard no headphones. The only feeling i remember is people getting up and dancing to whatever I put and singing to it. One of the greatest feelings ever. It still takes me back now when Im Djing and the whole place flips and everybody is dancing their feet off

This might be my future signature haha
DjSpekzMemberYea I know Andrew and Andrew use them but it’s for controlling other dj software suchs as traktor and ableton. Djay is pretty much another djing software itself. And now griffin is coming out with plit cables so you can cue up songs in one end and the master sound in the other.
DjSpekzMemberI have started to hear it more and more now also. I hand it over to David Guetta, Afrojack and others for working with mainstream artist on songs.
DjSpekzMemberYea I havent touched serato. I did see DJ Jazzy Jeff use traktor scratch which was epic since he always used serato.
DjSpekzMemberI wonder the same thing. I wont see myself using turntables but still wonder why most djs use serato. I dont see myself switching from Traktor
DjSpekzMemberWith a midi fighter pro you have endless opportunities. you can get scratch samples and go with that and then drop into another song. Im not sure with the stanton scs3 system, never messed around with it so nothing to say with that. with the MF ill try scratch samples and effects mixed up into other songs

Haha why is this?
DjSpekzMemberI’m running an HP with 3gb of ram and hopefully going to atleast 5-6gbs this summer. I can’t complain much since I stuffed Traktor Pro 2 into my laptop knowing it wasn’t going to work flawlessly but after switching to Traktor I has only crashed once and I had my iPod already connected to the mixer.
Like GRE said, try to look for something 3-4 and higher if you want to work with traktor and also a Duo Core chip with 2.3 and up.
DjSpekzMemberAfrojack. I just read the User Guide not even 5 minutes ago and I don’t think we are allow to post “favorites” post on the forum. Not really sure but check it out.
DjSpekzMemberI have never done any Kumbia either, would be fun though. I mostly play salsa, bachata, merengue and reggaeton.

DjSpekzMemberI started off with VDJ Pro 7 and it was a good solid software that is really under-estimated. After doing a couple house parties in school I got some cash and was able to try out Traktor Pro 2. Im still getting the hang of it but almost got it down packed. Its a huge difference since I feel that VDJ is more like the iPhone while TP2 is the Android. VDJ being more user friendly and TP2 being more advance and easier to customize
