I tried doing that but the file still comes up blank. Im trying to change the format to mp3 and see if its good
DjSpekzMember@willyb, yea man. Just talk to who ever is in charge of the social and give them a mix you made or show them something and you might get to dj in the event. Wouldnt hurt to try
DjSpekzMemberWell I still consider myself a noob when it comes to Djing and I have about 8 months at it. My first gig was as soon as i started, Djed my friends frat party in school. It wasnt my best ever but I had the people dancing. Couple tips: 1. dont be nervous when in the dj booth, the more nervous the more mistakes you are going to make. 2. with even the smallest gig have a playlist set and ready for it. most times you wont stick to it but it will give you something to lean on just in case. 3. practice everyday and every hour. I started out with one mix that I did from scratch and that gave me more inspiration for more mixes. Now I have 5 that I have mastered. 4. dont be afraid to try new things and show your skills. one day I was bored in my dorm room and decided to go out to the hallway and dj for a bit. After 30 minutes so guys approached me and said that they needed a dj for a party that night. Landed a gig by just going out and showing people what i got to offer. Got 35 bucks free food and all the beer I wanted 😉
DjSpekzMemberI second that study between DJs and Cooks. I just made a wonderful strawberry milkshake this afternoon, not cooking but something off the norm. I do some Photoshop work, have designed a couple logos and currently in the works of designing a mixtape cover for a friend of mine. I also do some web design, not big in creativity so I leave that to a friend of mine so I do most of the coding. Aside from all of this, I go to my local record store and buy a couple records a week. To listen not to mix with.
DjSpekzMemberIll say about 80GB. Not all are used, maybe about 3 or 4 thousand get played. I just try to have a bit of everything just in case people make requests. One of the worst feelings ever is someone asking you for a song and you dont have it 🙁
DjSpekzMemberMy sister just got back from Spain and it was my moms birthday as well so we have a family cookout with about 30 of us. We ended up playing a friendly game of wiffle ball and fired of the grill and stuffed the cooler with some good ol’ beers. Great times indeed
DjSpekzMember@Emma I’m with you on that one, I hate doing family parties because 1. It doesn’t pay 2. they request to many songs that do not go with whats playing currently.
DjSpekzMemberThe first time I did a gig in public was a frat party in school. Since I didnt know what I was doing I just took request and what people were screaming to put on. Since that time I know now what to play and when to play it, which is very important when you are djing.
DjSpekzMemberDjSpekzMemberThat’s am epic daily driver. Jealous….
DjSpekzMember@Mike if you are not trying to invest too much look into a numark mixtrack. Only $150 and the mixtrack pro for $250 and it comes with it’s built in sound card. Still I would go with regular mixtrack and audio 2

I just laugh because I got the gig and they didnt haha
DjSpekzMemberHaha. Some people dont understand that they are not the only one at the club or party. I will play what makes majority of the people will dance to
DjSpekzMemberMy first controller was the ion discover. My next one was the Numark Mixtrak. The Mixtrack is a great controller to start off with
