ty all for your responses 🙂 , i appreciate it
indamixMemberhii , i dont know a tool that does that 🙂 i dont think it exist “yet”
i had more then 45k tracks , and im using MediaMonkey as a player
listened to all tracks , suffered from severe headaches , but i did in few days , workd hard like a slaveddo fast listening like 2 hours per-day , not easy but thinks its the only way , track by track
but when u finish , you will feel like a Semi-God 😛 hahahaha , you will forget all the headaches and eyes bluring 🙂indamixMember” No matter how much of a d*ck they are, be humble” 😀 hahhahaha true
thx for reply terry_42 , wise words 🙂
Good luck on your projects m8
indamixMemberawsome Mashup m8
first one to like xD , keep doing it manindamixMemberi think getting other people with more hits to like me is more harder then to get a real audience cz most of them act like d**ks when it comes to that , everybody prefer to work with greater not the other way , in my country things are worst when dealing with artists/djs , act like gods hhhhhhhhhhhhh and they still fu** up on beatmaching
for now m sharing with pages i know owners in facebook , my little group of friends helps a bit now 🙂
i will keep up till the sun rises on my land 😀indamixMemberm8 , nicely said
i spent some days preparing the mix ( playlist / timing of songs ..) , btw i work with 2 CDJ900 & DJM800 , Software RekordBoxactually i dont have a problem against “comercial” music , indeed i like it too , i listen everything that sounds good to my ears , but generally “comercial” music dies in my ears after a little while , i cant even hear it
.
” Do you want to start a store with products that nobody wants? No… ” is :i know what you mean , its like trying to sell sand in Sahara haha , you cant sell ice cream in North pole , but you well sell like crazy in sahara , but what i think is that every music have its fans
from what i see , whats hard in all this is that the artist from any kind should reach his audience through what they like , then he/she automaticly gain credebility and the audience start to trust the artist , then the artist can pass his message/music/..whatever throught that , for exemple if they trust you when u deliver some music they never heard they WILL listen to dat bcz they know you wouldnt play somthing random or ugly for them
but trying to force your style on any audience that doesnt know u and u didnt gain credibility from , is tha bad way to do it .no experience but its just from what i analyse
Thx for reply
indamixMembernice story m8 , i have a story i feel that its related to yours
i had a House Party , a private one , means not in club but in a rented place
a big group of guys requested some Hip Hop and Dancehall , knowing that 90% of djs or more would not have dancehall or Old hip hop bangers in their rekord box for a house party , but im always ready to everything bcz i love lotta genres not just edm
i pleased them and they were sooo surprised that i “still” have that music /surprised that i actually like and know it
they come to me again after an hour and told me that they love my style and my knowledge of music ” they are hardcore music listenrs” and they proposed to me that they can monetise me and my private partys , wich means they pay for everything i need and they will transport me and my gear , all i have to do is play music and help promote it of course , and thats it , 50/50 money sharei was surprised and in a momment i was douting a Scammm lol
forgot to tell , i had a dj partner wich most of the crowd come to me when he get his shift and tell me : ur partner is a TRAINWRECK , plz go play us music just youu plzzzz , that guy is giving us headech
i felt bad for my friend but i had to do what i got to do , so nicely i tell him to go rest and have fun with those group of peopled or somthing like that , but he didnt understand looool
my english sux ? at least i speak your lang xd can u speak mine ? trololololo ( joking )
indamixMemberthe last 3 songs is the most important in ending a gig , some songs they can sing with and a bit chilled not that high energetic , and by doing that u leave a good impression on crowds too 🙂
indamixMemberCongrats man 😀 happy for you
indamixMemberall gigs i had are last mins , what a luck lol i feel terible and mad before doing them but i end up doing good work 😀
but still hate the last minutes gigfor me it was like , a friend calling me tonight at 9pm so tomorow at 3 pm i should do i gig , WTFFF
i end up not sleeping 24 hours , making playlists and sh** for that particular gig , dust off the gear and cleaaning it , testing everything , filling my backpack with extra cables and Plan B music cds and Usbs….etcso lately, i have a solution , i prepared my self so i can be prepared even if sombody want me for a gig THIS MOMENT not even tomorrow 😀 , music playlists always updated cued and everything , Plan A and B ( in case of rekordbox crash , and it never happend at gig for me , i can have USB , if USB have some error , then a CD is already in deck ) so its just a matter of buttons , and always i have 3 times the music i need , and i never play music by some order , just by intuition
indamixMember+1 Terry
before a gig , i decide wuts im going to play to what kind of a crowd , then i make playlists
and absolutely i have to know all my tracks , and tracks names are very important
i never prepare my set track by track and order , for me i should only know what i brought with me to gig , i dont mean m whole music collection , but the playlist and the amount i’v choosen for the gig
then i play it all improvised , of course some songs i know they work with what because of expirence with them in mixes that i recordG-Bee, post: 25265, member: 2829 wrote: something is wrong, but other than that it’s very hard (if not impossible) to see what’s going on. So I say: don’t waste your time trying to figure out what the crowd is thinking. Use that time to hype things up and keep your mix going.
about crowd reading , actually the crowd dont think in the dance floor , they only have fun 🙂
and the way i read the crowd , is not about witch song exactly , but witch mood and witch energy they need, i can spot that fast and easy for me , then this last give me an idea about the next track ( to make a good decision every time u SHOULD KNOW THE TRACKS U BRING WITH YOU TO GIG and actually liking them is better )
so i have my playlists that change and gets modified through timeindamixMemberI love these kind of topics 😀
i’l post my top 5 when i wake up xxDindamixMemberBut i noticed that mixing hip hop or urban music like so , doesnt need harmonic mixing everytime
indamixMemberheeey thank youuuu 😀 , np m8 😀 that happens xD
