    Sorry to jump it but….What is the sound quality like when using an iPad?

    Any referring to your question, I have had problems with the traktor software not any hardware. 2.6.8 is what I am still using, even though it has bugs, some songs not showing up when searching, I have found it the most stable. All of 2.7 was terrible and 2.8.0 I use once and my laptop seems to be running high on CPUs.

    Cheers for the advice, I get people who come every week for the last 4 years so I can’t be boring otherwise they would go somewhere else, and its not like it’s cheap either, over £8 for a double vodka…..I’ve been offered the chance to play at numerous other places so maybe I should change, let the manger see how good or bad another DJ is and hopefully this will educate them.

    There is no mic as manager doesn’t like it, except for NYE for the countdown.
    the lighting is set via a laptop and no one can change it….

    club opens at 10, gets busy from 11:15 packed by 12. 1 in 1 out by 12:30. And it’s still busy when the close at 3. Manager will not stay open later than 3 but license is till 4.

    So I play new dance music not in charts…yet most of it will be. 10-11
    11-12 will be commercial dance stuff, disclosure, mk, second city etc,
    12-1 Calvin Harris, Oliver helden, duke dumont, etc
    1-2 chris brown, Rihanna, Beyoncé and any r&b
    2-3, Cassidy, usher, missy Elliott, etc

    These songs are never in the same order except the 3 that go from dance into r&b

    This has been doing me fine for years, but as new songs come out then the 12-1 stuff goes into 11-12, new r&b goes into 1-2 then older stuff goes into 2-3.

    I will state that most of the time I go into r and b about 12:30.

    I’m just thinking of a way to change it as I play the music the manager wants so it’s a bit confusing,

    Hi, thanks for you reply, I only play 3 songs in the same order all night so only 1 mini playlist as you put it, all night. as I play dance songs for an 1 -2 hours or so then play the 3/4 songs to go from 130-80 bpm, then play r&b all in different orders.

    Then every song eg about 150 for a 5 hour set are all in a different order. But the 3 I play in the same order just make it easy and sound good to change from dance to r&b.

    So I do play some songs I would play at 1am some nights and the. I would play them the next week at 2:30am so my songs are all in a different order week in week out, except from the single set of 3 songs I play.

    Only had a quick fast forward through seems good,

    the vocal at the beginning, did you get someone to record this or did you use a programme, Internet etc to get it? Thanks

    I had the hd25-I II although they are comfy I still don’t think they isolate as well as pioneers HDJ1500

    Hd25….lightweight,good sound……poor isolation and cable doesn’t come off, do not fold

    HDJ 1500…great sound, good isolation, detachable cable, and fold…….bulky, and heavy when wearing.

    DJE1500…great sound, comfy……broke after a couple of months, would not recommend for djing if you take your headphones off a lot. Good for someone in a band, or for on the road listening to music.

    If I were in your shoes, I would play as normal using the s4, the clubs mixer won’t make any difference, unless it was your home monitors that are playing up.

    Always have a song ready to play either in a cdj or your phone, MP3 player etc, plugged into a spare channel on clubs mixer if you do get any problems. Then the music will stop for only a split second.

    If you do get the audio glitches, maybe after 1 1/2 hours change to a cd, phone short mix you can play and restart laptop then go back to s4, do this until end of your set, (not the best but saves the music stopping)

    Make sure your wifi is turned off. Any anti virus programmes etc, and this can interfere with the audio.

    Have you changed the latency in traktor setting????

    Thanks for the help guys, my right is is still hurting today and ringing, so I’m going to get it checked.

    Plugs are on my buy list today so I’m going to surf the web for a couple of hours and then let you know which I picked and how good they are over the weekend.

    Thanks, I just didn’t know because the master from the mixer was only using a left or right into the sub it would matter,

    But easy enough.

    I was also thinking, if I did It that way wouldn’t one speaker sound differnt than the one connect to the sub?

    And would it be best to run it as a mono output? Thanks

    I have used dj kit website to buy products, speakers etc and are great, however I’ve never bought any software.

    But what I have bought has been delivered the next day and is what they say it is.

    you will use cdjs as normal but have your library of music on a laptop, lots of videos on traktor audio 6 time code.

    If your planning on buying cdjs and a mixer, you’re best of just waiting now and buying a traktor kontrol s4 second hand……
