The buzzing is caused by electrical interference in the wires either to your controller or between your controller and the speakers.
In your case, a general solution would be to plug your speakers in through the XLR outputs on your controller.
Otherwise (if that isn’t possible) this can be solved by using either one of the solutions below or one of these: http://www.amazon.co.uk/AV-Link-201-086-Skytronic-Isolator/dp/B000NVWB9O/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1411139858&sr=8-1&keywords=ground+loop
Some causes are:
– Running electrical power cable next to unbalanced speaker cables (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Balanced_audio for a definition of balanced/unbalanced cables). A solution to this is to use XLR cables to your speakers and keep them away (half a foot should do it – not much) from power cables.
– Your laptop power supply is causing interference – try unplugging your laptop for s short while to see if the buzzing goes away. If the buzzing goes away, usually using a ground loop like above will solve the problem, otherwise you need a balanced output from your controller
– A slightly dodgy connection in a wire. This is unlikely if it comes through both speakers though. Solution: Get new cables.
Hope this helps 🙂
