…err..would you?
Silvercue MasterParticipantyes done.
Silvercue MasterParticipanthey thanks for that – I will log onto sound cloud and drop you both a follow 🙂
Do you know the guy or just a listener?
Silvercue MasterParticipantthanks for the detailed answer Terry.
Silvercue MasterParticipantHi Hank.  I will check that out (at work at the moment). I mainly play House/Prog House, but the most recent mix I put up to soundcloud (in my siggy) was what I call “breaks”….it has a couple of  D&B tracks in it, but they are not dark, rather they have piano breaks.
I really enjoyed playing it so I will do another one.
I also notice there are not many decent tracks on beatport/djtunes to do more like I did in that mix…will keep looking 🙂
Silvercue MasterParticipantI have skimmed through it and I will try to listen from start to finish  over the next few days (busy with work and family today).  Hour long mixes are not ideal for getting feedback from me quickly.
First impressions are – prefer the tunes towards the front, though they are ones that sounds a bit like many others at the moment, but some nice baselines. Â The later ones are the ones that make it stand out a bit more, but I don’t like the as much. Â I prefer the basslines earlier on.
Mix as 45 sounded scruffy, but others I picked up on sounded smooth.
Songs seem tot go well together.
Dropped you a follow so I can listen to more 🙂

Silvercue MasterParticipantwhat do you mean by dj pools btw?
I assume you don’t mean simply using on online stores like beatport?
Silvercue MasterParticipantSoundcloud were  clear to me that this was due to a complaint from a record label not after the use of technology to detect waveforms.  If they did have technology similar to what Google own and use on Youtube, then they should use it properly or not bother IMHO.
However, that would mean they would have to take most of the content on their site down and it would lose traffic and therefore value.
Also, they would not say that I was infringing copyright (I am confident that I was not, but could be proven wrong)…they said that it is possible that it may infringe some copyright. Â So they understandably take the cautious approach.
I know that paying for the service is not going to change copyright approach, but i will not pay for the service anymore if they continue to take things down – as it would lose any value to me.
As for adding an intro. …..I heard this also and also leaving a gap at the start …but others have said this won’t work. Â The tech Google use is so advanced and the library so vast that they can detect even moments from old TV shows that were never digital. Â They can also detect songs that have been manipulated in audacity to be slightly different in the wave form. Â It is incredible use of tech and I don’t know if soundcloud have that.
If they did most dj mixes would be removed I can only assume.
November 5, 2013 at 9:59 am in reply to: Does anybody else find this to be a little bit "cheating" in the world of DJing? #1015928Silvercue MasterParticipantThe point I am making is that they are points that can be debated – technically the answer that people often put forward in defence of SYNCH is “it’s about the music”. Â That argument is just as valid a defence in this case.
Personally I use SYNCH, but that does npot get the tunes spot on – still work to be done.
Would I do what this guy has done – no way. Never. Â Not in a million years. Â In fact if I owned a bar or small club I wouldn’t employ him to play there – may as well play an ipod.
Actually it is worse than that as if the songs have been pre-mixed, he is effectively passing some else’s work off as his own. Â That is not cool IMHO.
Silvercue MasterParticipantRoy – you have a similar story to me…except I am a little older and live in the sunny south.
Welcome aboard!!
November 4, 2013 at 3:07 pm in reply to: Does anybody else find this to be a little bit "cheating" in the world of DJing? #1015876Silvercue MasterParticipantis it cheating? Â Debatable. Â Is Synch cheating or a shortcut. Â Again a debate that will go on and on.
However….what the heck is the point??? Â Music should be about passion. Â DJing should be about enjoying what you are doing and being creative. Â This guy is not being creative. Â Lame is what I would call it.
Silvercue MasterParticipantFeedback is a good thing. Â But in my opinion, and I speak for no one that runs this site, there are better ways of presenting feedback.
I hope your opinion changes, but I for one, was unable to even join the forum and harassed Phil via every means possible, so I am delighted with the changes as it means I am now able to contribute.
Silvercue MasterParticipantI like this one, though it does look like SRAW instead of 5RAW in some…how important is that as it may effect your choice.Â
