Thanks for the advice guys. It’s good to know it’s not just me that has experienced this!
Tony YoullMemberThanks bro. I’m literally forcing myself to make a mix today and get it up on Soundcloud! Hopefully getting something out to the people will be what I need.
Tony YoullMemberIt wasn’t the taking of the drugs that frustrated me, I totally understand that this is the scene I’m in, and this is what to expect. It was the fact that the bouncers kicked all of the out that got me. Because it just knocked everyone back a few pegs. If the bouncer hadn’t of kicked all of those people out, I’m sure the party would have been totally amazing. Instead, it was amazing for me, and a handful of others.
Tony YoullMemberI try to find a good blend of lost of genre’s
I’ve been really interested in finding good hybrid motown-dubstep music, or reggae-dubstep tracks. Even if you use samples of tracks over other track, it sounds amazing.
I dropped a acapella of N*ggers in Paris on Wednesday or a Dubstep track, and it sounded amazing. Just about experimenting bro.
Tony YoullMemberThanks bro. On the way to soundcheck, nerves have set in a little bit, but that’s nothing out of the ordinary
Tony YoullMemberOh I will definitely be using it, or some variation of it.
Tony YoullMemberPerfect, totally get it now (even though it seems I already knew what I was talking about)
Drew myself a little diagram so I don’t forget, and I’ve took your Ipod idea in mind (just in case)
Thanks for the help bro
Tony YoullMemberThanks for this, has really helped me alot. The very last part, about the headphones. Would I plug my headphones into my laptop, or into the clubs mixer?
Tony YoullMemberThanks man, got a pretty goof reception from the viewers, just getting the practice in for my first live set on Wednesday

That being said…I think its time to put Levels to rest now. Its been heard way too many times.
Totally agree…But the twist on it would definitely shake things up
Tony YoullMemberI would stay away from words such as beginner, new and what not. Try using things like “Up and coming” “Next big thing” What would you rather hear?
“Newcastle’s Newest DJ”
or
“Newcastle’s Next Big Thing”(I used Newcastle because thats where I’m from)
It gives possible bosses/promoters who will hire you an idea of where you are, but that you are moving very quickly.
Tony YoullMemberI really think if done at the right time. It would bring a massive payoff, the crowd would go nuts!
Tony YoullMemberWell like I said, if I was to do it. I would pre-mix and record the previous song, this song, and the next song. So would just be whatever feels right.
Tony YoullMemberhow about something with “bio” as the prefix or “micro”
