    Hey guy! I’ll be honest.
Your track Dark Afternoons is not that bad but it sounds empty. A lot of deep-house songs have very few elements but they sound good. Deadmau5’s stuff sometimes sounds good too even with very few things in the track. This one just sounds empty – when I listen to it, I’m like “yeah I see what you wanted to do here, but you could have been working more on this synth, add effects…” etc.
You can make good tracks whithout using all the effects your DAW allows you to (remember, “less is more” they say. Don’t put effects everywhere, but you can use them a bit more I think). But I like the melody. It reminds me of a Deadmau5 song I think, but I don’t remember which one.

Early Days is a better one imo even if I think you could have spent more time on mixing and mastering it – don’t worry, that’s pretty much the same for me. I know a few things other people could do to improve their tracks but can’t figure out what’s wrong with my mixing aha ! It reminds me of a few tracks Avicii used to do four/five years ago.

I’ll follow you to see what you’ll release it the future. If you want more feedback, don’t be afraid to ask, and keep on working ! You have good melodies, work more on them 🙂

Play tracks that have energy but that are not “famous”. If you play an electro-house/EDM type gig then you should avoid playing tracks like Animals or Greyhound, stuff like that because the DJ right after you might play one of those famous songs. Play tracks that have the same energy but that are not famous.

A few examples : songs by Leventina, Cazzette, Hard Rock Sofa, Sick Individuals… Random clubbers may not know the songs but they will probably like it. Avoid Garrix, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Hardwell and artists that may be played by the next DJ.

I hope that I’m not wrong with your definition of “electro-house” btw… Haha.

I do think you could bring the volume on the bass up a bit

Yeah that’s probably what I should do in all my songs but I’m so afraid of destroying the sound… I’ll try this next time ! Thank you for the advice 🙂

The second one is definitely something I could spend the night to dance to ! Maybe a few more instrumental tracks because some vocals are not that much good imo but I like most of the tracks you used.

The first one is good but sounds a little bit boring at the end? Anyway there are some good tracks in this one too 😉

Then you could, with your DJ software, use an acapella and start slowly and then you pitch it up and a song comes in. That would be cool and you would start your mix with a mash-up, that would show your skills !
Axwell from Swedish House Mafia did something like this when I saw him at Cap d’Agde, well it’s not a mash-up but he started the acapella at something like 90bpm (and it goes 128bpm at the end of the intro) :

Starting a mix like this would probably avoid Soundcloud program (unless you use a Rihanna or Michael Jackson acapella which will obviously be detected) 😉

One thing you could do to avoid the algorithm is making your own intro if you’re a producer, or have someone do it for you. Like playing the first track of your set with a piano, and then the track slowly comes. You could take a look at Swedish House Mafia’s intro for their One Last Tour for example. They didn’t start with the “real” song, but with various synth stabs and strange noises while the song is coming. 🙂

Good transitions. Share tracklist maybe ? I think this is something we DJs should do when we post mix to help the artists and the others DJs but that’s just my point of view of course. 🙂
Anyway you chose good songs too, you would have a looot of success in a club near when I live they mostly play this type of music and even if it is not a big club everybody knows it aha !

I followed you because I can see your January mix is good too so I’ll stay tuned !
Btw this voice at the begining of your February mix sounds incredibly anoying I think haha, maybe some people like this but I must admit that I tend to skip the mix when there is this type of intro…

Not bad ! I love the songs you used. Some transitions could have been made in a smoother way imo but it’s good anyway. For a promo mix I think you should do more mash-ups to show the clubs that this is your work and not only someone picking his favorite songs and pressing play and pause like a lot of new DJs do sometimes (at least where I live…).

I gave it a listen, nice songs ! But I think you should be careful with some tracks like the Bit Funk Remix of Runnin (love the original and this one is pretty cool to !) but it has a really different feeling next to songs like Tom Ford for example and as much as I love the track I stillt thik it doesn’t fit in this type of trap/dirty-south hip-hop mix. I can be wrong but this is just my opinion, hope you understand it, I’m french 🙂
