Mixo, the cloud DJ library app, is raising its Mixo Gold subscription from $7 to $15 a month. Existing subscribers move to the new price from their first monthly payment after 1 December 2026.
To soften the blow, current users can switch to a new yearly plan and keep paying the equivalent of $7 a month. Mixo says the rise reflects the cost of running the service, which has had a busy year of updates including OneLibrary and Rekordbox USB import, direct Serato database support and a new Energy Analyser.
The free Desktop tier and the seven-day Gold trial are unchanged.
Who uses Mixo, and why?
Mixo stores your music in your own Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive, then converts playlists, cues, beatgrids and tags between Rekordbox, Serato, Traktor, Engine DJ, VirtualDJ and djay Pro. It can also write CDJ-ready USB sticks.
Its fans are DJs who play on more than one system (Engine DJ at home and Pioneer gear at gigs, say), and DJs who like to prep on the move, setting cues and building playlists on their phone with the changes waiting on the laptop at home. Mobile DJs also value the automatic cloud backup and the clean-up tools, such as the duplicate finder.
So is it still worth it?
Until now, the low price has been a big part of the appeal. At $15 a month, Mixo stops being the cheap option. Its main rival Lexicon now does library conversion for free, with paid plans from $10.49 a month (Essential) and $20.99 (Ultimate), or $249 and $499 to buy outright.
That makes the $7 lock-in a good deal for existing users, especially as Mixo tells us that the deal will be “for up to nine years”.
