Uploading photos or clips to Facebook or as an Instagram Story is cool, but sometimes you want to kick things up a notch and do a quick and dirty livestream during your DJ set. Sure the sound won’t be that great since you’re using your phone’s built-in mic (we’re doing a separate tutorial on how to get awesome sound going in your livestream) but people love it because of its rawness and because you’re able to engage with them in real time.

It’s simple enough to do – just place your phone in front of you while you spin – but often there’s no stable way to place your phone upright. You place it against a booth monitor or up against a corner to make it stand, but it falls at some point. Here’s a quick and easy hack to make a DIY phone holder using something that you’re bound to find at every bar, pub and club: a plastic cup.
