Native Instruments just announced that, for a limited time, every purchase of a Traktor Kontrol S4 now comes with Traktor Scratch Pro 2 software and timecode vinyl / CDs. Traktor Scratch Pro 2 is the DVS version of Traktor Pro 2 – that means you can hook up your turntables / DJ CD players to your Traktor Kontrol S4 and use special control vinyl / CDs to spin with music files on your computer.
DVS has been getting attention lately, with Pioneer DJ releasing DVS-ready mixers and a DVS box interface. It’s been a while since we’ve heard from the Native Instruments camp, and this promo is a nice offer, but is it enough to keep Traktor relevant in the eyes of digital DJs today? Will Native put out something new before the year ends? Your guess is as good as ours…
