ATGR, the company behind the popular DJ Conversion Utility app for Mac, has unveiled its latest innovation, USB to Rekordbox.xml (UtoX). This update to the company’s existing Mac apps enables DJs to convert Rekordbox-exported USB drives into a Rekordbox.xml file, retaining all essential metadata, including cues, loops, and playlists, while ensuring compatibility across multiple DJ software platforms.

UtoX works by generating an XML file that links to audio files on the USB, which can then be used for seamless conversion for other DJ platforms. This solves a long-term issue for many Rekordbox DJs, who have wished for an easy way of making Rekordbox USBs compatible with a wider array of DJ software, without modifying the original CDJ data on their drives.

Free update

The application is fully integrated with ATGR’s existing DJ Conversion Utility (DJCU) and Denon Conversion Utility (DeCU) apps with free updates for users, and Mixmaster G, the developer, has made two videos showing what it can do – check them out below.
