Ok thanks and got myself a Macbook Pro now.
I’ve gone to set it all up and now realised that despite spending a good chunk of change on it, it doesn’t come with an ethernet port!
I assume an adaptor will work but do I need a ‘Thunderbolt to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter’ or a ‘USB-C to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter’?

I have Rokit 6’s and been very impressed with them. They look good too.
I wanted more bottom end bass so got the Rokit 10s sub to go with it and that really puts out some bottom bass 🙂

OK great so just software 🙂 It will be Rekordbox DVS rather than Serato.
As for the laptop, is there a preferred preference over a PC or Mac?
I’m really not a fan of Apple products so will a PC laptop be ok and do the job ok?

    Thanks but nope.

The lid is to thin to get a decent fixing into. I could of course use a nut/bolt going thru the lid but that would leave the fixings exposed on top of the lid which I don’t want.

I may have to make something out of wood which has the feet that slide under the 1210’s and somehow hinge the arms that the CDJ’s sit on to fold almost on top of the platters?

Thanks all and I was worried about the lack of recording option on the MCX8000 and didn’t know you could get small/cheap recording devices so thats a great find in posting this question.

Ideally I’d like x2 XDJ-1000’s and a DJM-350 but the price on those 3 is close to double of the XDJ-RX and more than double of the MCX800 so can’t really justify the extra cash. There almost none second hand either in on eBay in the UK.

I like the look/feel of the XDJ-RX more than the Denon and they are both pretty much the same footprint size so will just about fit into the space I have although the display is bigger on the Pioneer – but theres just the one.

On the Pioneer, is the only option to skip thru tracks (as theres no needle drop) to use the platter with shift or just the search button?

Its a tough decision as the Denon is cheaper and has needle drop, but has no release date yet and I don’t need 4 channels or DVS.

The Pioneer is almost perfect and I could have it tomorrow – but it has no needle drop 🙁
