    Thanks so much, Yes it is easy to get carried away with pretty lights. Like buying a new car that has the fun things on it.
    They are teaching with Rekordbox DJ.
    I saw the DDJ-RX last night,,and it is way too much for me to start with. SO it will be either the RR or RB.
    I sorta look at this like I do when I was studying instrumental music. If you buy the really cheap instrument you usually will never be able to get the sound that attracted it to you in the first place and get frustrated. That is why I always picked a mid level entry instrument. Then up grade. I really like what you said about having a short list and workflow.

    Thanks. I guess because we are learning on CDJs that the jog wheels felt strange. I will certainly take another look at it. And you are right about moving up. I started with Ableton Intro. And then a year later got the suite.
    Also maybe I was turned on by the “pretty lights” of the RR and RX. They are teaching us to use Rekordbox. Now I know Serato is used more. But that is what they are using.
