    Those were both very good points made. Where can I find someone that can deal with the lighting and special effects aspect for me? I am not throwing a professional party either, I am throwing a dance party for mostly 18 year olds and charging no more than $10 to make up for the costs of what I need to buy. I just want to make it as cool as possible without breaking the bank.

    Could you recommend me a product or products that would work for me? I will be playing lots of upbeat music / house ect.

    I will be playing for 300 kids max probably, 200 is more realistic. It is a large cafeteria size room. A bit smaller than a gymnasium of course. I do not know of any other renatl companies in my area and I need speakers in 2 weeks.

    What if I rent 2 QSC K12 Active Speakers he has? I do not know who else to rent from or what to do 🙁

    So basically you are saying I am good other than I should rent out the sound system. Will an amp be included in renting? Or I guess if I get active speakers I will not need to rent an amp. Is lighting the only thing I need now?
