Hey mate no its a cracked copy, just uninstalled and reinstalled so got my sound back, tried it again and I dont know if its the eq or what, been messing with it to make it sound the same as the media player and its still not right to me, maybe its me I dunno but there just seems to be more clarity and definition and high/mid end in media player than in traktor, its passable but I notice a difference and no amount of eq changes change it, also just tried changing the eq types, no difference.

Thanks for the input chuck could help as now I have no sound, few nights ago was playing and it crashed twice, never crashes now theres no sound, never happened before. Dont know if the crashes and no sound are linked but the lack of quality has been there for a long time.

See I would work with traktor for months then leave it for months doing production just got some new tracks the other night and again this dip in quality was obvious, same out both onboard sound and soundcards. Usually is something simple but this quality thing has been a bugbear for a while, glad to hear its not a common thing, ive played out a few times with this set up and people liked it and it worked but I was aware of lack of quality before but went for it and it sounded fine but its defo there its pretty obvious when sitting at home playing the same track out of traktor or out of the computer whatever. Ill check all the settings again but my filters are off, thanks for the feedback guys appreciated 😉

Sorry guys for delay working unbelievable amounts recently, its weird its the same using the onboard sound as using my soundcard, it loses quality when played out of traktor but on ipod media player whatever its a lot better, it is a cracked version so maybe that?? been meaning to buy for ages but been doing more production and wasnt getting many gigs and I moved abroad and just recently got a bank account so not been able to buy it, its been noticable for a long time, im thinking its maybe because its cracked now. Thanks for the advice

I have very little experience but I’m playing my second ever bar gig tomorrow night with a guitar player, haven’t rehearsed or anything so a little unsure how it will go, went great with the saxophone player before but my question is regarding requests, a woman asked oh do you have some tiesto I said oh I forgot to bring it, after reading that excuse here haha but now will she expect me to play it? I have two tiesto tunes and they don’t go with the breakbeat and house music I play, tested them today and it sounded awful, what should I say to her? She’s very hot Lol

Cheers for the advice this place i played in paid me a free meal and free drinks, couldn’t drink alcohol as working the next day and she gave me a voucher for roughly $10 to spend at her place, it’s an expensive place, she said it was supposed to be 15 but she couldn’t afford itmim like ok whatever so I’ve agreed to do it this Friday for the same again though thinking after this I should say look I want paid something?? It is a small place but it’s really upper class and expensive food and drink for Saigon. The experience has been invaluable but starting to think I don’t think I’ll be doing it regualrly for a meal and milkshakes, can’t even drink their expensive alcohol as I work early in the morning. Hopefully I get paid well at the next place.

Thanks phil wouldn’t have happened without your fader fox dj3 review so when I’m doing my oscar speech after my world tour you will get a mention lol

To play again this Friday but there adding a guitarist so should be interesting! Went for a demo with the cocktail owner I met at the first gig to play there next Monday, I asked for $50 an hour,he said he will speak to staff and text me a proposition, wants me to play for 3 hours can’t see it happen but hopefully get paid something, can’t believe the way things are going just really hope I start earning, would a great bonus for something I’d be happy to do for free LOL

I think the octop4d software for the launch pad is great for djing though you need maxforlive for that which isn’t cheap. Ideally I would have synced Traktor with ableton and used my launch pad but couldn’t get the sync happening at all, easy on the mac though but I don’t have one and now my launch pad has just stopped working.

Cheers man it was great playing with that guy because it added a whole different dimension and the focus wasnt on me, id just loop some bits and listen to him was pretty cool, you could come up with something really good, got plenty time to come up with something and ive got the experience so hopefully itl be even better. And yes the world tour is on so no doubt coming to a town near you 😀

I gradually go from 105 to 120 with breakbeat to house usually mixing a breakbeat song that’s 120 odds with one at 105 then gradually speed both up then get rid of the 120 one them i can add house and even increase speed from there, for me just have to use the right track. I mapped one of my encoders to the bpm too.

Hey guys so played for two hours last night and it went amazingly well. I was a bit dubious as the owner was a bit iffy at first with the break beat I was playing when we were practicing she said it was too “edgy” but maybe. Reminded me of my first gig and I played a house version of mobys go and the guy comes up and says could you play something happier, so didnt feel confident, It was nightmares on wax and dj shadow, maybe it is “edgy” I dunno. Its an upper class bar/cafe/boutique with all these posh folks with crazy prices but luckily I got a free meal and free drinks. The practice session went great I just played some beats and when the saxaphone guy got going id just loop parts of the songs or hit the cue button he was loving it as was I, was better than I imagined and worked really well with the music I was playing, couple of times I pressed the wrong cue and fecked him up he was cool with it.

Unfortunately come 9 when we were supposed to play no one was there, well one russian girl who was very nice but it was raining and its the rainy season here in saigon so didnt look good that people would show but then a few more tunred up ended up about twenty people and a family of the owners with their children, all really nice people and everyone was commenting on how great a dj I was and they all really liked the music I played. I couldnt beleive it everyone was really impressed and a guy after it said oh do you tour the world playing I said I wish and he said oh yes you should lol can but dream eh. Another guy said he was opening a new cocktail bar and thinks my music would be perfect for it so hopefully I get something out of that and she wants me and the sax guy to play another gig the 26th of september.

Hopefully the next time I can make full use of the free drinks as I was working early this morning and couldn’t drink, drunk scottish dj at swanky saigon bar could go horribly wrong hahaha only had a few hours sleep but feel great after my first successful gig playing music I love and hopefully I get more gigs.

This sites been a godsend thanks for all the cool articles. I found the site after seeing the review for the faderfoxdj3 now thats what im using, can do so much with that and with my denon dsc2000 its great, hopefully I get more gigs as ive not been impressed with any djs ive seen yet in this city and not just because they play music I dont like, human cd players!
