    Hi Chuck!
Wy not try VDJ? Tried all the major softwares, but always end up going back to VDJ.
It’s not as cool and stylish as serato or traktor, but for mobile dj’s its awesome and have a bunch
off advantages over S and T.

Perfect combination for a mobil/wedding/party dj I think is the MC6000 and VDJ.
I use the Pioneer SX, because I do club/big stage stuff and have to think ab’ the visual too.

Got a bit of the same problem, but I’m using VDJ with my Pioneer SX.
The only sing I can say, you can’t trade you’re SX for a S4.
Thats like trading in you’re Benz for a Ford Focus………..

Stay away from the “thump”. Very low spl! Buy Subs and 10″ top speakers instead. You get 3dB more bass if you put it on the floor. That means that 2 subs on the floor play like 4 subs in free space!

The most important thing to remember for a dj is “PLAY FOR THE LADIES!”
    If mama ain’t happy, nobody’s happy…….
Keep the girls happy and the dudes will stay no matter what.
They got the pussy, so they make’s the rules….

Mashups are ok, megamixes are not! And mashups with 4-5 tunes are not ok, it’s like a minimix.
If you can’t play the whole track, don’t play it at all.

All depends on type of gig. It’s a good way to connect with the crowd, but when that is done, I try to let the music speak for itself if it’s not a wedding or corporate gig.

A tip is to record a set where U use the mic. Its good to know how you really sound.
If you sound like Kermit the frog you better shut up 😉

The worst way to use a loop is to extend a tune. The crowd can almost always hear it. If you cant find a new tune and line it up in 3-5 minutes you better stick to chop-mixing 😉
I use it the other way around, I loop the incoming track so its perfect in sync when the outgoing track comes to a stick or breakdown, and if you´re mixing in key, you can start fading in the new track long before the real mix.
The loop is also useful for mashup mixing when U need to extend a overlay track.
What ever you do, don´t loop the outgoing tune because you´re not ready, that´s just embarrassing….

Yes, I think so. The physical product will be outdated in a month or so anyway. I update my pro version 2-3 times a year at least.

Well, you are legaly owner of a copy of the tunes so why not just download them so you get them in digital mode?
You have already payed for the tune……….

I use spotify for requests I don’t got. I got premium version so I can download the track to the HD for more secure performance. If the track is downloaded it also starts instant when U hit the play button.
I also use it for backround music at private/corporate gigs.

The Senhiser HD-25 sounds great, if you’re home listening to music.
As a dj you need headphones that accent certan frequenses for easy mixing.
Pioneer 1000 have a great sound for mixing, but they break.
I glued my P1000 like 5 times. Last week I got a pair of Stanton pro 3000,
Works great, fits around the ears instead of on the ears like Pioneer and the sound is even
a bit sharper than the P1000
