Without knowing what each person’s situation is, you can’t really judge if they are asking to be spoon fed or in genuine need of help. Practice is the best teacher, up to a point, but things that are intuitive to one person, another may simply not grasp for any number of valid reasons, so they come to a forum like this one to ask for help.
DJ-QuantumMemberThat was more my concern, which one could handle the software without slowdown and with the best sound quality. I have a Traktor S4 and of course Traktor Pro to go with it.
DJ-QuantumMemberJava doesn’t give me any problems, I use a lot of Java apps and tools 🙂 But thanks!

It’s a Windows machine. 🙂
DJ-QuantumMemberI went ahead and purchased Beatunes, already have Mixed inKey, so for the time being I’m covered I think.
DJ-QuantumMemberI’m just not an Apple fan. I haven’t had good experiences with their company or their products and prefer alternatives when possible. If in the end I must have iTunes, then I’ll give in and use that but only as a last resort.
DJ-QuantumMemberProbably not the place to get into a debate about it. But thanks for all the helpful replies. 🙂

I am just not a fan of some of their business practices.
Anyway, thanks Si BooGie, I will look at Beatunes 🙂
DJ-QuantumMemberI already own a over a TB of music, and not a fan of Apple. So iTunes is the bottom of my list of things I want to utilize, no offense to those who are fans. The point being I have the music, that which I don’t own already I have a lot of ways to get that don’t involve iTunes so I am reluctant to install it just for keeping my music straight.
DJ-QuantumMemberI maybe changing gears here very shortly. I may end up with a Traktor controller for Xmas, so likely I will be moving to the Traktor software regardless. The person buying the gift wanted to know what model so I will be putting up a new thread asking for suggestions.
DJ-QuantumMemberDo I need to get a Traktor controller for that? Or will it work just as well with my DDJ-Ergo?
DJ-QuantumMemberI have Zune Musicpass because I like the whole monthly fee to download (Would love to know of any other monthly fee music sites) and found quite a bit there. I can listen and then pick individual tracks or whole albums. However they are phasing it out so not sure how much longer that method will be feasible.
DJ-QuantumMemberThanks for all the links guys, I really appreciate the help. I am going to start tracking down as many tunes as I can now. 🙂
DJ-QuantumMemberMine has a microphone input, but I was wondering what the best kind of mic to use for live DJing would be, that would still allow me to wear my DJ headphones. My controller is a pioneer DDJ-Ergo
DJ-QuantumMemberOK, thanks for the feedback. Because I am the kind of guy who always asks questions, why do you say its unusable in a live environment? Lack of features? Stability issues?
