djdoinbadParticipantthanks for the incite ive heard alot of good things about ableton im gonna go online and see if i can find a free trial on that and other software, try them out to see which software i like the best. i want to be able to make a record music, and one day if im good enough id let to bout it out for other people to listen to it. OH what do you think about Reaper? ive been trying to download that for the last few months! [ every time i start the download it stops at 2% and will never even get CLOSE to finishing the download?]

I like to suggest Groove to show how putting a little extra effort into an event with decor and music will do wonders over the basics in a room.
Maestro is a great documentary on the NYC scene of the 70s and 80s. It’ll give you perspective on where we came from.
Pump Up The Volume is a must to see. Not the Christian Slater movie. Google it online and watch it.
Scratch is nice if you’re into vinyl and turntablism.
Other than that…do some searching in YouTube. Loads of recorded exposes and clips from news reports about things that happened in the past. Saw a good one on the Madchester scene.
djdoinbadParticipantthanks im gonna look into making a soundcloud account! do you have a mixcloud page?
http://www.mixcloud.com/Dj_DoIn_BaD_Mixtape_Assassin/djdoinbadParticipantthank homie!ive seen the first one but not the second one dat shit is siiiiick!

djdoinbadParticipantthanks for the help!whats the difference between a Lite & a Regular soundcloud account? [and is it free or do you have to pay?]
Maximlee, post: 31763, member: 2165 wrote: get on soundcloud and get yourself a lite account… from that you can post mixes and get feedback and also make them available for download. With the lite account you get who were and when your mix was played or dloaded. Very good is my opinion for getting a podcast series going…. when you get a following then you can start think of using something more professional like itunes…were it can be seen by thousands.
djdoinbadParticipant@phil- thanks i started my account on mixcloud yesterday
@d-jam- thanks for the tips, I’m gonna keep at it n try to get betta and get people to listen to my mixes!djdoinbadParticipantWhat do you mean by on board mixer? And if I set it to external how do I get it to record?
djdoinbadParticipantI did that some of the stuff works but when I set it up so that I can record a lot of the function don’t work or don’t work correctly, like on one deck the high mid bass nob, pitch control, deck volume control, crossfader and some other things. Do you know what could be causing that to happen?
