    The beatgrid in Ableton will not work in Trakton or am I wrong?
    I am correcting all the beatgrids that T2 has done wrong (about 100%)
    At the same time I’m going through the lib. to get rid of tracks I do not want/use

    The files that does not have constant BPM I will run in Aleton to get them constantif that is what you mean 😉
    (that is the next step)

    Thanks anyway 🙂

    I mentioned Ableton my Friend because I read elsewhere on the Forum that you have or use Ableton;
    My Suggestion was to just Warp your Tracks in Ableton rather than Traktor;
    But if you are not yet using Ableton to DJ with; then there doesn’t seem much point in my Suggestion :);
    However; if you take a look at the following article; it tells you Exactly How to set up Traktor to run as a Slave within Ableton; Traktor is Very Happy working within the Ableton Environment and is becoming the ‘Norm’ with some;

    Thanks for the tips Emma, I would love to get a gig somewhere, even if its just a small 10 minute set.
    Expanding my range of genres has been something i want to do, obviously still sticking with mainly dubstep, so i may look into that, any genres you would recommend? Considering I like anything with a beat

    Hello Tony :);
    Well; you Love Dubstep and Drum & Bass (as I Do);
    And if you haven’t heard any Jonny L or DJ Shadow in the Drum & Bass Scene Please Do So 😎 😎
    A couple of Spanish people I know call Dubstep – Techno – so that is a Genre that May be of Some Interest to you (and Techno is in it’s 30th Year now and Still Widely Renowed as Brilliant – usually around 130-135BPM);
    Hard House is Similar to Techno (but has a Harder Hitting Kick Drum) – around 150BPM;
    Breakbeat is just Magic; and I feel you will Love – around 70-90BPM;
    And of course I wouldn’t Insult you by mentioning Drumstep; but this is Definitely a Genre that is bringing (or will bring) Dubstep into something Much More Acceptable to the EDM Crowds;
    And then you come to House; there are Many Variations of House (Vocal House/Piano House/Italio House/Deep House) I could go on and on; but Mixing Dubstep into House is Easy; and is one way I get away with bringing Chilled Dubstep (at the moment) into my Radio Shows 🙂

    This is the 4th Time I have been ‘Bashed’ on this Forum today and it is the 4th Post I have looked at;
    Things are Not Looking Good

    Regarding Critcisim; I didn’t even mention ‘Constructive Criticism’;
    Taking On Board what has been already been said here is Cool;
    However; Surely we have ‘Our Own’ Feelings about Our Material;
    Because if we are going to ‘Led’ by Others Thoughts/Judgements; how can we Ever Have Faith In Ourselves ?
    I Know when my Work is Crap and I Delete it;
    If I Upload something to the Web and a day later Recognise Sufficient Faults; I Take It Down;
    If I Allow something to go out on the Radio and only later pick a Mistake up; I Never Make That Mistake Again;
    When I have ‘Read’ that a Crowd is Not Feeling The Same ‘Vibe As I Am’; I Make A Point and Never Repeat It;

    I am not going to making any Friends here; but it seems Those Days Are Over anyway;

    @Fxn-L – When something tells you “Dude; that Sucked Ass”; your Response is to just Accept it and say; “Oh; what I just did SUCKED”;
    Well; Why Did It Suck; did the Person Tell You Why; do they have the Authority Of Technique and Skill to Say That ?
    What Did You Think Of It Yourself ?

    Soundquality is better on S4 and MC6000 because there are better soundcards in those controllers!
    Dramstic better is from ear to ear, but in my ears there is a big difference.
    Also The MC6000 has a much better buildquality and better hardware all the way.
    Better knobs,buttons and so on.
    MC6000 also has a hardware mixer so that you do not use the internal mixer in the software
    and that makes the sound better as well. NI S4 does not have that!

    Why Suggest to a Person that they Buy an Expensive Controller just because it has a ‘Better Soundcard’ ?
    If the Person is ‘Having A Blast’ with the Controller they have but are looking for ‘Better Sound Quality’;
    Surely a Dedicated Soundcard would be the Answer would it not ?

    I read the article, but it sounds like there’s more to all this…as the DJ went LATER to knock Deadmau5.

    Maybe I am in a Very Odd Mood today; or maybe my Tablets aren’t Working;
    But How Can Deadmau5 be compared to every Trixie and Douchebag; and it Suddenly Be Okay ?

    Hello Loso 🙂
    Never be Afraid of ‘Losing Your Touch/Skill’; as Once You Have It; It Is There For Life;
    I had to take an ‘Enforced Break’ and came back in February 2010; and it was not only like I Had Never Been Away;
    I Was Even Better Than I Ever Was;
    If you are still Practising that is Amazing; but maybe in this ‘Time Away’ you could Set Yourself Some Challenges (with your DJ’ing – Style/Genre) just to ‘Keep The Blood Flowing’ 😎

    I Absolutely Detest David Guetta anyway; and this ‘Story Of The Future Of The Music Business’ not only makes me Feel ‘More Comfortable’ about my Intuition Towards People; but Doesn’t Surprise Me In The Least;
    The Premonition/Words in this ‘Announcement’ Will Happen – I Guarantee It
    Paris Hilton Will be Amongst The Headliners at All Major Festivals (and this Makes Me Feel Distraught to be a DJ);
    She Won’t be there because she is any Good; as Boy George was also Awful; but because she is a Rich Prostitiute;

    These ‘Scandals’ of Angello and now Guetta are Making A Joke Of Our Industry 🙁

    Hello Rony; A Very Warm Welcome To The Forum 🙂
    Thank You for Sharing Your Experience of DJ’ing so far; and all I can say really is Wow !
    You have done Everything Correctly from the Smallest Thing to the Largest Thing; and you have been Successful;
    From my Point Of View you have ‘Exactly’ The Right Attitude and are Moving Forward Exceptionally Well; and Your Dedication Cannot Be Questioned with you going to College and Working for 30 Hours weekly !
    I also Use Ableton to DJ and Produce; and although the Learning Curve was Quite Steep; it is now like my Best Buddy;
    With Kind Regards;
    Emma 🙂

    Yes; this is a Very Unfortunate Situation; when a person Doesn’t Accept they ‘Have A Condition’; and therefore ‘Suffers Alone’; and Never Comes Into Contact with Professional Services;
    A ‘Broken Leg’ is a Perfect Analogy; as a Broken Leg ‘Can Be Seen’;
    Yet a Mental Health Problem Cannot; it is Only when Behaviour becomes ‘Challenging’ is it Recognised; but then the ‘Challenging Behaviour’ is Seen As ‘The Person’; and ‘The Person’ is from that moment on seen as ‘Challenging’; rather than a ‘Person Who Is Psychologically Unwell’ 🙁

    Hello Clayton 🙂
    Your Statement:
    “Is sound quality dramatically better with the more expensive controllers?”
    Can Only be Answered with a Resounding “No”;
    The Only Way you will get a ‘Dramatically Better Sound Quality’ is with a ‘More Expensive Sound Card’;
    If you have the Money To Spend (and Wish to Spend It – Then Spend It :));
    However; if you have been Gigging and ‘Having A Blast’; my Question Would Be ‘Why Upgrade?’
    The Denon Does Look Fantastic; and Traktor is (Known As) the Industry Standard (for DJ Software Programmes);
    But with just 30 Effects I would Hardly call it the Best DJ Tool;

    This Statement is Just My Personal Opinion 😉

    Hello DJ DTB 🙂
    After a Long Time I have Finally Succumbed to going onto Beatport and seeing what they have there;
    And they have Many Genres; and just for Deep House there were 5,000 Pages; and I managed to get through 150 Tracks (just Listening to see if anything caught my ear) in about 10 Minutes; Selecting 3 Tracks that I would Use;
    Obviously you don’t have to get the Tracks at Beatport; but it seems a Cool way of listening to Tracks Quickly 🙂

    Hello Tony; A Very Warm Welcome To The Forum 🙂
    I also Mix Dubstep; and Adore it; but Unfortunately I don’t have One Friend or Associate who Agrees with me 🙁
    1: My First Gig was part of a Consortium where we put on a Gig for 500 people and DJ’ed ourselves; I was picked up by a Promoter at that Gig; and was DJ’ing in Clubs within weeks;
    2: I don’t use a Controller
    3: Widen your Range of Genres (even if it is ‘Not Your Absolute Love’); as if we stick to just One or Two Genres we are Limiting Our Opportunity to Reach Wider Audiences
