Was so looking forward to this unit but can’t for the life of me work out why there is no booth out and phono pre ? Denon what are you thinking !?
erosMemberLooks like the MC-3000 isn’t going to offer the connectivity of the 6000. Bit of a disappointment.
erosMemberInteresting, thanks for that info DJ Hessler
One DJ running the whole night !! wow !! thats one long set 🙂
erosMemberI’m not sure if A&H have reviewed their global pricing policy but down here they have reduced the price of their whole Xone range by up to 30%
erosMemberWas just searching for people on Souncloud…there’s 95 D-Jams !!!
erosMemberSince you are going to be rotating between two venues how about “ROTATOR” ?
erosMemberMate I don’t I’m afraid. I’m in Australia and even though we’re closer to Japan we always get stuff 6 months after you so I’ll be waiting for you to tell me all about it when you get your hands on it !!
As I mentioned in the other thread…I couldn’t find an official release date. Denon forums were all just speculation and excitement at this stage. I’ve emailed Denon but havn’t heard back yet. I’ll keep you posted.
erosMemberNo official release date yet. I’ve checked the Denon forums but it’s all speculation at this stage and I don’t want to give you incorrect information. I’ve emailed Denon but havn’t heard back yet. Phil will probably have a better idea or some inside info perhaps ?
In terms of which to get out of S4/PioneerDDJ/DN-MC6000. It really comes down to personal preference and what features are more important to you. All three are good controllers each with their own strengths.
If I was to briefly sum up all 3 (in my humble opinion I stress), I’d say that the DDJ is the easiest to use out of the box and get started on. S4 is the most tightly integrated with the software and the MC6000 is the most “professional” of the three. There’s obviously more to it than that (as usual Phil has done excellent reviews of all of them just do a search under equipment).
I’ll keep you posted when I find out more info !
erosMemberSure thing…will do.
I can see the potential for this thing to get very messy !
October 19, 2011 at 4:31 am in reply to: Zomo MC-1000 finally released. 12" Controller for Traktor / Virtual #8696erosMemberOk thanks, can’t wait to hear your views on it !
erosMemberSimon if the DN MC6000 was anything to go by then I think we can expect great things from the MC3000. I’m holding out for that unit as well because I was a little disappointed by the S2. I think it’ll be worth the wait.
erosMemberThanks for the responses everyone !
@D-Jam , the DJ battle reads like something out of a movie script. I guess in this case winner gets the name and not the girl ! Also for myself every possible domain name with “eros” in it is a porn site I’m finding out (purely research I swear !!)
@Deathray – LMAO, talk about awkward moments !!
@Kranic – Great point , I hadn’t even considered that but they are both paid DJ’s..Ill let him know tomorrow.
In another interesting development my friend is now close to scoring a gig at the same club. So things should get really interesting especially on the promo poster !
erosMember@DJ Hessler “More than one club that I know of here in Guthenburg Sweden has already thrown theyr CDJ’s out the booth”
Mate it was interesting to read that although I’m not surprised.
I’m curious as to what set-up they have and how this works. Do they use patch panels of standard interfaces
that guys can just plug their gear into ?Also what about transitioning between DJ’s ?
erosMemberThumbs up !!:)
erosMemberI meant that in the sense that digital is the future. Just as CDJ took over from vinyl, digital will take over from CDJ.
More and more guys are now using controllers or “stop gaps” to make club equipment act as controllers. DJ Hessler was saying that he knows of clubs that have ditched CDJ’s all together !You only have to look to the fact that even “industry standard Pioneer” have brought out 4 controllers this year. Would they really bother if they thought the future was going to stay CDJ ? They held out a long time before getting into the controller game but even they have seen the writing on the wall. Coupled with the fact that they are rumoured to be upgrading RekordBox into a fully fledged DDJ software package to rival Traktor and Serato.
Don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against Pioneer..they make great products (with an equally great price tag:)) I think it’s good to have competition.
