The second set of RCAs output the same signal as your headphones.

Well I tried Traktor 3 LE, Traktor LE and Mixxx and none of them worked acceptably so I guess he’ll have to wait until he gets a better computer.

I might give Mixxx a try. VDJ Home would be no good as it doesn’t support controllers.

Nice. If I didn’t already have one I’d be all over that deal.

Yes, you need to plug your speakers into the RCA outputs on the back of the Mixtrack Pro.

If you’re using an S4 then can’t you just use Traktor’s built-in recording function?

Make sure the FX buttons are set correctly. It could be that the FX assignment for deck A has been switched off.

Either reduce the pitch faders’ range or remap some of the buttons on the controller to fine pitch control.

I want to map it so that the EQ kills are cues. I have downloaded suitable maps…

You may be interested in a new map I uploaded earlier this afternoon. Get it here.

…however I dont know how to remove the old map and apply the new one. (Im using Traktor LE but I am expecting delivery of Traktor Pro 2 tomorrow)

OK, you won’t be able to do it in Traktor LE so you’ll have to wait until you get Traktor Pro.

When you get Traktor Pro and you want to remove the installed mapping just go here in the “Controller Manager” section of the settings dialog:

To load a new mapping just go here:

Also, when beat matching 2 songs, I don’t want to get into the habit of just using the sync button. At the moment I slide the pitch faders until the BMP’s shown on Traktor are roughly equal (they never match up exactly, not sure why?). Is this this the only way to do it, or is there a better way?

I would suggest you do as I’m doing and try to learn to beatmatch by ear rather than doing it visually. I’ve found this video to be really helpful.

Glad you like it. I’ve actually had a few minor glitches with it since upgrading to Traktor Pro 2 so I’ve just posted an updated version you may want to try.

Did you delete the existing mapping before you loaded the new one?

When I was looking at upgrading from a BCD3000 I looked at all 3 controllers. Although the Reloop controllers had nice construction there was quite a price bump over the Numark. That, and all of the good reviews was what helped me to decide on the Mixtrack Pro and I’m happy with my decision. Also, at the time I’d read about a few issues with the Reloop controllers (jog wheel problems, buttons breaking) that may be fixed now.
