Hey Jonas,
Thanks for being the first to pipe-up about the controller you’re using – shortly after writing this post – I found/DL’d the buyer’s guide with all the recommendations one could want (under $300 is where I’d like to stay). I did notice the Pioneer DDJ WeGo2 & 3 are recommended makes/models! I’m leaning towards Virtual DJ as my software of choice and looking at the specs of make/models in my price range. I’m kind of bummed that not a one of them have: SD card/USB drive inputs and/or Booth/record out: (2 features that are important to me) – what’s the markup on price for that feature to be included (without breaking the ‘piggy’ bank). – I’m putting together a shopping list and so far it includes: Numark MixTrack Pro [$163] & Pro2 [$249], Pioneer DDJ-SB [$247], Denon MC2000 [$292], ReLoop BeatMix2 [$300], & lastly Pioneer’s DDJ WeGo3 [$300]. Is there a way I can ‘try out’ both Virtual DJ & Serato DJ to see which is more comfortable? And even though these models come bundled with software – if I prefer one over the other will the software I choose work “across the board”? As for being used to Mixmeister – it was more of a visual software that ‘drew’ the file and most of my beat matching was done visually! (Crazy huh?) Plus I’m anxious to have the ability to cue with headphones… a feature that I’ve never had before… using a traditional PA mixer (remember karaoke 1st) – these are lots of new and exciting changes I’m looking forward to…
I greatly appreciate the input! Thanks!
