Then again , I don’t really understand why do you want use a Y-cable for yor soundsystem and monitor speaker, since then you can’t control them separately.

Just get a adapter cable to plug your monitor where its supposed to. Finding problems, broken cables or sockets gets easier this way.

Sounds like a broken cable/plug/socket. Warranty should cover this, if we’re talking about brand new equipment.

Yes, this is what I expected, and thats why I asked. Either get a bunch of adapter leads or get yourself a nice little PA mixer.

Im on my way to get a mc6000 mk2 soon anyway. IMO small size is just a good thing, since there’s rarely a thing called too much free room for your setup.

Not sure, and I’m on a remote location from my comp, but I’m pretty sure there’s the button of the right bottom corner from where you can do purchases. From there select serato DJ, and it will ask you credit card info OR insert serial. Or not?

Not to mention, that you can always map the missing functions to another device, such as a Korg nanopad (and they’re cheap).

I’ve got Denon DJ HP-1000, huge cups. Rather on the expensive side, and not the most durable headset, but at least the isolation is good.

Though I have to admit I picked them because I’m a Denon fan and the look cool…

I use it for mobile gigs. The lack of metering and dedicated filter knobs are my only omissions, but other than that its very, very nice.

The audio interface isn’t the best possible, the sound will get rather horrible if you use keylock and move pitch more than, say 4%. This can however be fixed with full serato DJ + pitch ‘n’ time purchase.

I do use them. I got good ones made by professionals. Recommend. 🙂

Why not trouble yourself a bit and have a go with both, and then decide whitch software fills your needs better, especially when both of them are free?

Its just coupla clicks more here and there, the main problem is that it diesn’t have a built-on media player, it doesn’t like adblock and has pop-ups. However, the stuff posted there is in general rather good.

For my own podcasts (found in mixcloud), I do cratedigging in soundcloud (mostly). It sure is time-consuming, and there are loads of complete shite in there, there are also the gems to be found. The UI of soundcloud is also quite good. It can also be free, since there are a lot of tracks available as free downloads.

Ragejunkie.com is another place where I’ve found something, and its all free downloads, but the UI is much less convenient.

On my gigs I play mostly mainstream stuff, though. Weddings/corporate, you see.
